At last someone actually understand what I was talking about. DUNE 2 is indeed free-running but totally random. Spire is way different with its ANA switch behavior. A more consistent, pleasant, phase randomness. It's not possible to achieve that with DUNE 2. I've tried everything, including things suggested in this thread and others, and nope, nothing works.
Here's an audio example, first 4 bars of 2 oscillators on Spire (with ANA switch), and then 4 bars of 2 oscillators on DUNE 2:

The behavior is totally different.

Re: 'Free-running' phaseWhat about setting constant phase offsets for each oscillator in the mod matrix plus a small amount of random for phase offsets too?
Re: 'Free-running' phaseHahaha no, what a hassle, it doesn't work either. I give up.
Re: 'Free-running' phase
Yes it is different. I much prefer the DUNE 2 example. Has more life to it....less static.
Re: 'Free-running' phaseOK, that's your point of view, but I am not talking about preferences here. Just trying to achieve something in DUNE 2.
Re: 'Free-running' phaseYes. It's very close. How did you do it?
Re: 'Free-running' phaseBoth oscillators set to reset phase. One triangle LFO controlling init phase of both oscillators. One set to +50 and the other set to -50. Also, set an LFO to control fine tune of osc2 at +5 to +10. This can be the same LFO as used for osc phase, or, as I did here, a second one using sample and glide. Fine tune everything to taste
Importantly, in the settings tab, set sync mode to host.
Re: 'Free-running' phaseWow Mark, great job. I would've never done that by myself. Thanks.
Could you please share the preset?
Re: 'Free-running' phase
Yes you are...........
I simply gave my opinion just as you did. But it looks like Mark took you to school so you should be happy now.......
Re: 'Free-running' phaseI would have done if I'd saved it I started tweaking it further away from where I started as one does
You have all the info that you need in my post above though If you're still not able to create it then let me know and I'll see if I can recreate it.
Re: 'Free-running' phase
Yes, not everyone is a stupid troll over here. Glad to be taken to school by people who actually know what they're talking about, like Mark. You can move on if you want, as your opinion is irrelevant and unhelpful.
Re: 'Free-running' phasePlease let's stick to the topic in hand. I'll delete any posts that I think are unnecessary.
Edit: this is meant for Teksonik and Yorrrrrr...
Re: 'Free-running' phaseDon't worry Mark, delete the thread if you want. You already helped me. I wanted to achieve what you created, but I couldn't figure it out.
Re: 'Free-running' phaseI'll try to recreate the patch then
