Hi there,
Are there any plans to implement great tuning methods via microtuning,
like in
Spire
Serum
Sylenth
All Reaktor Synths etc
?
I am asking because this feature is essential in composing for Symphonic Movie Score like work, for those who have very accurate ear for harmonies - and the listeners who will feel the difference in a properly tuned synthesizer
Cheers

Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning?Where is the microtuning in Sylenth ?
I assume your request is for DUNE 2 ?
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning?I think micro tuning would be great. We have it already with internal generators in Orion. Not sure how easy that is to do with VSTs though.
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning?Dune 1 also responded to micro tuning in Orion but apparently not DUNE 2.
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning?
Hi there, yes according to Steinberg, Microtuning should be already a part of the VST system and from what i heard it should be pretty straightforward for the developers to enable this functionality. Maybe what functions already with Orion, could be easily converted in the VST? Friendy Greetings, SL
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning? One can only hope
In the meantime, it is possible to program in microtuned Arp patterns using Arp Velocity to control Pitch Fine in the mod matrix.
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning?I've never been a fan of micro tuning.....most tunings make the fillings in my teeth rattle. Kind of like when my guitar is out of tune it makes me seasick.
But having said that I would support the addition of such a feature if others want it in D2.
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning? Then you have not heard a properly tuned instrument.
Mind you, the so called equal temperament is microtuning set by the developer, only it is not a flexible one.
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning? Here is the tuning that is closer to the ones used by Beethoven, Bach and Mozart. And the So Called Equal Temperament sounds truly weak compared to this.

Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning?
Yes, I have..........make your feature request but don't be condescending in the process. I had my first exposure to alternative tunings in the 1980's. I don't do period pieces and I don't do ethnic pieces but I do know that a synth like Dune 2 is tuned perfectly for the type of electronic music I like............ Oh and your Youtube example sounds absolutely horrible.

Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning? If you don t like microtuning, why don t you make your own topic about how awesome it is not being able to tune the synthesizers properly
This is a feature that many serious professionals and those who have highly accurate ear for harmonies are looking for, so why would you want to seem like you do not care for tuning the instrument properly? It does not make sense if you have musical ear for harmonies.
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning?
Dune 2 is tuned properly. I've already said I'd support micro tuning in D2 even though I will not use it and to be honest think it's silly for an instrument like D2. Kontakt yes......but not D2. So it's probably not a good idea to argue with someone who has already given you his support for your feature request. But in the end it's up to the developers to add this feature if they think it makes sense. The fact that it hasn't been added to this point might tell you something....... But your "ooooh my ears are are so accurate" attitude isn't going to help your case.
Re: Any plans to implement good Tuning? As most synths are aimed at the Electronica/EDM market, i dont see much use for MT.
I dont see many ppl making classical music with Dune2, but as Tek said, i have no objections to support being added. This is the first time ive seen anyone ask for it, so its prob not high on the list of priorities. Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM
