I'm sure I've seen the answer lurking somewhere, and I know there used to be a Mac-only tool for registration... but I can't seem to find either. I seem to remember moderators asking individuals to PM them, so perhaps why I can't find them.
My Dune AU component fails to find registration despite having been uninstalled/installed/registered multiple times. I am using Dune 2.502 in Logic Pro X 10.2.2 on OS X 10.11.3.
Note: This does not occur while using the newest version of Dune in VST Format on Ableton Live 9.
Now, to whack a mole...
Thanks,
A

Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueWhat error does occur exactly, is there a message box with error?
Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueAfter opening Logic, I access the plugin manager and find Dune 2 and am informed it crashed validation. Upon selecting the plugin in the manager and rescanning, a dialogue box pops up stating that "Serial Not Found! Serial Not Found!" (I might add that it says Version 1.5.1 under Dune 2, though I'm sure I used the latest installer). It then promptly freezes Logic and auvatool and must be restarted. Unfortunately, because of this I cannot retrieve the scan log. If I select the option box under "Use" and close the manager it rescans as usual and there is still no access to the plugin.
Sorry if this is a bit scattered, and that I posted this in the wrong subforum. Feel free to move it accordingly and I'll find it. Thanks for the quick response. A Edit: Oh, hey, look, I did post it in the right spot. I need more sleep. Last edited by atreehaseyes on Sat Mar 19, 2016 7:19 am, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueI should add that I have tried cleaning out the AU cache folder and that does not solve the issue.
Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration Issue
Let me know if I wasn't specific enough. I know you guys have lives and things going on in those lives, but some sort of resolution of this problem, even if it's just "We're not sure... ," would be appreciated in the not so distant future. Let me know if I can provide any additional information.
Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration Issue/bump
Still not resolved. I've tried using the reg app, I've tried reinstalling. I've tried clearing the AU cache. The only thing I haven't tried is doing all those things at the same time (in logical order, of course.)
Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueSame problem for me can't use DUNE 2 with logic "serial no found"
Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueIf you are going to report problems, you need to give a bit more info

Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueSee this is why the "check your PM" response doesn't work. Support has to deal with the same issue over and over. If the answer was posted in the forums even if the person asking the question couldn't find it one of us could........

Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueSorry for the late reply here. We need to investigate potential El Capitan issues in more detail.
Meanwhile, do you see your proper serial number during installation (RegTool should appear during installation) or is the field empty?
Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueDon't see registration code reg tool.Althought At the end of the installation the serial key is needed.
Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration Issue
Yes, that step, it should be the RegTool appeared. Does it show your serial number or empty field? If there's an empty field (assuming you have typed the serial number previously) it looks like there is a problem with read/write rights to the DUNE 2 folders. EDIT: One more possible reason of a missed auth can be an unrefreshed binary cache (at least it often helps if the plugin is not found on the insert list). To refresh the plugin please perform the following steps: - Open the Plug-In Manager in Logic, - Find DUNE 2 and then uncheck it if checked, - Check the checkbox again, - Click to refresh the plugins list.

Re: Dune 2.502 Audio Unit Registration IssueWhen you install DUNE 2 there should be a new window opened which asks you for the serial. Is it?
- What is the message shown right after you click "Register"? - Does the serial field is empty or filled with a number when it launches?
