Does MSEGs with the same destination add together?

Postby Foxedge » Wed Mar 23, 2016 3:36 pm

Hi it's me again! :) New question here. Im recreating a patch now. There are two MSEGs automating the filter cutoff.
Now I am curious: MSEG 1 adds +21 on the Filter and MSEG adds +30.

Does that mean that when both envelopes overlap in their highest point, the filter will be pushed off by 51%, or does every envelope has its own effect? Like resulting in two different beats playing similar. I can't figure it out just by listen so I ask :)

And I assume that these amount numbers are always %, right?

Everything is additive including MSEGs. You can test this with something more obvious like pitch.

The numbers are mostly percentages, but not always. For instance, pitch coarse is in semitones.
