this must be simple, but i cant figure it out
im making 2 diff sounds, layer1 and layer2. I want to fade from 1 to 2, using the MW
ive tried this in the MM
MW -100 Mixer Vol 1
MW 100 Mixer Vol 2
doesnt work...any ideas? I cant find any other volume destination that affect the whole layer...

Re: X-Fading LayersI seem to remember trying that and it not working the way I wanted. I tend to use amp level as destination for this sort of morphing.
Re: X-Fading LayersYeah i tried that too, didnt work.
Both voices always sound, you get a very brief moment of just one voice... Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: X-Fading LayersCan you send me your patch to look at? I've got a bit of spare time tomorrow so I could have a tinker with it if you like.
Re: X-Fading LayersI didnt save it. Its an init patch with random sounds on voice 1/2 (as diff as poss but simple, no mods) Even the same sound pitched up an octave...
Nothing in MM except what ive already explained. I tried all the vol and level destinations i could... I was just trying to get it working before i actually started on the sounds themselves Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Also....is it possible to copy/paste layers between instances? I tried it, it seemed to work, but it didnt.... i think it pastes the layer to all layers.... Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: X-Fading Layerssorted it, schoolboy error...i set both levels to 100, then set MW to +/-100.... which doesnt work. Need to set each level to +/-100, then MW to same

Re: X-Fading Layershere's 5 presets i made while experimenting x-fading the layers using MW. Some good possibilities here if you make 2 very diff layers that can match well...im still trying
