Need help on using MIDI - Roland VP-03 VOCODER

Postby juangchavoya1977 » Mon Jan 09, 2017 11:01 am

Not sure if anyone can give me some idea how to get the Roland VP-03 VOCODER working. please see pictures. I have already installed all drivers, I can use the vocoder but it adds the vocoder sound to the whole song, I want to use it one one cahnnel, "sampler" with vocal loop..

I'm not to familiar with using MIDI external gear with Synapse Audio Orion v8.02, hope any one can help, Thanks

Without seeing the pictures I can tell you how you will need to set it up. You will need to send the channels you want to process out separately from the rest of your mix. If you do not have an audio device (soundcard or external USB/FireWire/Thunderbolt device) with multi outs, you will not be able to do it. It's not what the device was designed for, it was designed for you to attach a microphone to and sing into it. You'll need a software vocoder plugin to use it in Orion or any other software.
