Hello everyone,
I am just a new user of the fantastic DUNE 2 software.
I am only wonder if there is something for holding (keep running) the arpeggiator, f.i. by foot pedal?
Thanks in advance

Re: Arpeggio hold+1 for Arp Latch.
You can of course hold notes with a sustain pedal but it won't be the same as Latch.
Re: Arpeggio holdI'm a bit confused with the Arps in Dune 2
I bought Dune 2 in the Christmas sales after being very impressed with the "sound quality" but I hadn't realised the potential limitations of Arps I'm just checking that Arp hold/latch is the same as sustaining an Arp with the Sustain pedal ? if it is - I cannot see any reason it would not sustain - but I can't get it to work in Dune 2 - if you press three keys on the keyboard with sustain pedal down those keys should "hold" - if those keys happen to trigger an Arp - surely that should hold too ? without it - I'm finding the VST very very difficult to actually use how are you meant to change filters, LFOs etc on the fly using knobs etc on your keyboard - if you've say an Arp and you are using both hands - without resorting to a Expression pedal but then can only change one parameter also even playing with both hands dedicated its difficult sometimes on chord jumps to jump perfectly with "no gap"
Re: Arpeggio holdNo, Arp Latch is not the same as Sustain Notes that are Triggering the Arp. Some plugins that contain an Arp also have a Latch feature, some don't. I would love to see Latch in a future version of DUNE but not having it doesn't make the synth very difficult to use.....at least not here. But we all have a different way of playing.
Re: Arpeggio holdThanks for the answer, but I am not looking for a latch function.
When I play a normal (not ARP) patch the sustain pedal works, but an ARP patch does not sustain the played arp notes? Any suggestions?
Re: Arpeggio holdI see what you're saying now. You are correct, notes are sustained but they no longer trigger the Arp. Let's see what Synapse has to say. It may have to do with DUNE 2's multi-voice architecture. I am not aware of any workaround at this time.
Re: Arpeggio holdThe arp is global as is voice on/hold, so nothing to do with the 8 layers.
Sounds like a bug Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM
250GB SSD - 1TB HDD | M-Audio Oxygen 25 V
Re: Arpeggio holdI was trying to give Synapse the benefit of the doubt but they've chosen to ignore the issue today.
Re: Arpeggio hold<edit> I take back my previous comments - and apologise
I was confusing the title of this thread arpeggio hold/latch with arpeggio sustain on trying the FL Studio trial I have realised that you can sustain an arpeggio, it must some strange Dune2/Cubase/Reaper assign of Sustain pedal that wasn't working for me Arp latch I have realised is something entirely different I thought there was no Arp sustain at all - well - it does work in FL Studio - so it seems I was wrong or FL Studio is doing something clever. I am a bit confused why in Reaper/Cubase sustain was working for all the patches except ones using Arps ... yet all sustain in FL Studio - but I need to do some investigation - seems its not Dune 2.
