New version prompt on latest version [Solved]

After I installed Dune 3 (3.55) I get the prompt that a newer version is available, even though I installed the latest version already. it also gives me an error when I open a friend's project where it states that the Preset/Patch requires a lower version of Dune. Can someone advise?

Edit: FL Studio 21 version 21.03 using the VST3 Dune 3 Plugin

If possible, pelase send the presets and project file to marcin@synapse-audio.com for which the error message appears.
We'll look into this.

You can upload here, you have to zip it up tho. There is a size restriction tho...

What is the exact version the message shows? Do you use PC or Mac?

Hi Marcin, sorry for the late response.

I am using Windows 11 (latest update) and it shows the error message "This patch requires DUNE v3.0030. Please download your free update!"

Further if I open the Dune plugin in the project after loading in and clicking the update message away, I receive "The font image error" "The font image must contains 92 elements (found 0). The texts may be drawed incorrectly"

There seems to be something incorrect with your installation.

For instance, it could be that you still have an old VST2 or VST3 version of DUNE 3 installed somewhere on your system, and this is what shows the error message. Please check your VST2 paths if you have multiple versions of DUNE 3 installed, and also be sure that both VST2 and VST3 is ticked when installing the latest v3.5.

Thank you for the hint.

I haven't considered this option and it worked.

For anyone with similar issues:

I made a thourough system scan for Dune 3.dll files and it seems I had an old version of Dune from when I used the demo in the /Program Files(X86)/Steinberg/VST directory that hasn't been linked to any recent installation. deleting this file and reinstalling the latest version fixed the problem.
