DUNE 3 voice panning

Postby teosyn304 » Fri Sep 29, 2023 10:12 am

Hey everyone

New user to dune3 here - I've got a grasp of the basics of the synth and everything make sense. I am taking a deep dive into sound design and deconstructing some of the presets.

Looking at the default patch '001: Adrenaline KS' I can see it has 4 identical voices. Soloing the voices I can hear that voice 1 is panned left and voice 4 is panned right (with voices 2+3 centred).

What I can't find is the parameter that controls that panning - I've looked through everything including the mod matrix, fx chains etc. and cant see anything.

I've also stripped the patch back to just a simple 1 osc saw waves - no filters / modulation anything and the pan remains.

Anyone got any ideas?

Lower spread and see if that changes

If not, maybe the osc are panned in each mixer on each layer

At work, so can't check right now

That explains it - yes it's the spread setting that controlling this not a voice level parameter that I was looking for. Obvious really :D

Thanks
