Re: Dune General Discussionsi asked for that too, classic ARP patterns, but Rich thinks its too dated and not useful....or something similar to that.

Re:
the ARP transposes to whatever keys you press....so its basically numbers....root/+3/+5 etc etc Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: Dune General DiscussionsThanks for the presets Kriminal but in Simple Mode:
From the Dune Manual When in simple mode, the arpeggiator will play back a pre-programmed sequence when hitting a single key. The sequence is automatically transposed according to the MIDI note of that key. Pressing multiple keys simultaneously has no effect in this mode. I'm talking about a traditional Arp that can be played and that works like the one built into Orion. Play a C Major chord and the Arp plays C-E-G-C-E-G-C-E-G until the keys are lifted. In Up/down mode it plays C-E-G-E-C etc etc. I haven't found a mode in Dune yet that plays like a traditional Arp. I really enjoy playing an Arpeggiator and view it as a musical instrument in it's own right. It's great fun to load up a few different synths with different Arp speeds, directions etc. You can really get some complex stuff going. Anyway I love the Arp in Dune although it's really more of a sequencer than an Arp. I'd just love to see a traditional Arp mode added if possible. I certainly don't consider an Arp outdated but perhaps I'm alone........
Re: Re:
Exactly which is why I wonder if it would be better if offset numbers were displayed rather than note names.
Re: Dune General Discussionsi agree with your points..i did say numbers may be better im sure....but its not really an ARP, it is a sequencer....IMO
im not an(traditional) ARP fan, and i would rather sequence notes in the piano roll, but in modulation mode its very usefull, thats all i use it for myself. Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: Dune General DiscussionsI wouldn't want to replace or remove any current Arp features just add a traditional mode.....after all it does say Arp on the tin.........
We'll see if Richard has any comment on the subject..................
Re: Dune General Discussionslike i said, in beta i asked for traditional/classic ARP functions, but Rich didnt want it....he might add it in future, who knows...keep asking and you might get

Re: Dune General DiscussionsThe reason I didn't implement classic arps is pretty much because Orion has them already. Ableton Live has a great arpeggiator built in as well. Not sure about other hosts though. If it's missing in too many sequencers then I think it should be added in Dune.

Re: Dune General DiscussionsEvery host I use has a built in Arp but I'd much rather use an instrument's built in Arp so it can be included as part of the Patch information. It's hard to share Patches that use external elements like Arps or Effects. I just prefer everything to be self contained.
Orion also has a built in Sequencer yet one was included in DUNE........
Re: Dune General Discussions
+1 Also, It'd be nice to turn off the Sync for Delay; let it max out to 2000ms or something...
Re: Dune General DiscussionsHm why would you want a 2 second unsynced delay?

Re: Dune General DiscussionsWhy not ?
Re: Dune General Discussions
If for some reason I needed to; the point was to just to have a liberal amount of length to it, not specifically 2 seconds:p. It would all depend on how it sounds with what I'm working on. I typically don't use long delays but, why not?
Re: Dune General DiscussionsHere are some feature requests/comments/questions
1) I would like a separate volume for Osc 1 and Osc 2 to be able to set the volume that I want for OSC 1 when the Osc Mix knob is turned fully to the left, and be able to set the volume of OSC 2 that I want for when the Osc Mix knob is turned fully to the right. Sometimes OSC 2 is way louder than OSC1 and I’d like to make the volumes more even this way, by setting their limit. I would like independent control of the Gain Of OSC1 and OSC2, just like for OSC3. Or add Osc1 level and Osc2 level as destinations in the MOD Matrix so I can assign a constant and reduce the volume from here. There is currently an OSC 3 Level destination in the Mod Matrix but none for Osc1 and 2. 2) Mod Matrix Voices: Is there a reason we can't select voices 6+7+8 under "Voice" in the Mod Matrix? There's 1+2+3, 2+3+4, 3+4+5, 4+5+6, but no 6+7+8. Also, 5+6+7 is missing. 3) Please allow importing of custom shapes for LFO’s and OSC’s. Being able to drag the single cycle waveforms from my Fl Studio browser into the DUNE GUI would be great (this is currently possible with Toxic Biohazard, for example). 4) At least one more MOD envelope please. 5) Bypass slots in the Mod Matrix would be cool. I click a little button to engage and disingage the slot, so I don't have to set the amount to 0 every time I want to not hear a slot at work. 6) Be able to select each unison voice's amplitude as a destination (1-8). So I could modulate the volume of each unison voice separately from the others in the Mod Matrix. 7) If I load a preset and modify it, then switch to another preset, then back to the first one, the changes I made are still there. Is there a way to have the preset go back to it's default values when it is reselected? I have to currently reload DUNE to have access to the original preset again. Thanks everyone -edit-Oups one more question. How is it possible that using the Fat knob does not increase CPU usage, and, the FAt knob doesn't work on a sine wave correct? I've tried it but it doesn't seem to alter the sound in any way.
