Considering how awesome Dune is with cpu right now, I'd love as many options as possible.
And for the love of god, LFO Skews in the MM!

Dune General DiscussionsI can't help thinking that since DUNE seems to have a little Hydra and Wasp in it's make up what it would be like with some of Ultran's DNA in it's genes.............SF2 (or sfz) import.....wavesequencing..............but that would probably go against the mission of DUNE...........still one has to wonder from a purely sound design angle what she could do given such abilities.........

Dune General DiscussionsThere was some discussion way back during beta-testing about proper wave tables as opposed to wave cycles. Whether it will appear in DUNE 2 or not, I don't know.

You can go both ways, if you want to go from Dry to Wet use this first: Const -100 FX Dry/Wet This gives you 100% Dry, afterwards go from there and add some wetness, e.g. LFO1 +20 Dry/Wet Note the advantage of the Dry/Wet parameter is that it works per voice, it is not global. This makes it much more flexible than modulating FX parameters directly. There isn't much you can do with global FX Parameters, other than applying a global LFO to them. For this reason, LFO2*Dly exists which modulates the delay unit with the second LFO. If you modulated the amount of distortion with an envelope, for example, that would fail because if you hit 3 notes successively, the mod envelope gets triggered 3 times, once for each note. But there's only one distortion effect available, not three. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Thanks! Const-100 FX Dry/Wet then for example Mod Wheel +100 FX Dry/Wet Brings in the FX and of course per voice as desired. Cool trick.
Dune General DiscussionsSmall request.
I have been messing around with the little tracker screen (where you set the notes for ARPs) and have found the interface a little tricky to get the exact note. I hover over the note, hold the LMB and move up and down. Most times I am struggling to get the note I want. If there was a way to click the note, then press a key on the keyboard, it would make the interface a little easier imo. Alternatively, click the note and it becomes "selected" then use the wheel button to cycle.

The mouse wheel works in Dune on the Mac (all hosts), on the PC only in Orion 8. If I test Dune on the PC but not in Orion 8 (e.g. Orion 7 or FLStudio), I always go $%&! as I got used to the mouse wheel for many tasks, both in Dune and in Orion itself. So I fully understand what you're saying Keyboard input and mouse wheel are tricky on the PC, however, because both are tied to which window has the input focus. Whenever the focus is grabbed by a window, another window loses it. This is a major PITA because you want to be able to simple hover over a knob and have the mouse wheel work right away. For Orion 8, I had to use a custom hack to allow for this, resulting in a pleasant, uncompromised workflow identical to the Mac. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Dune General DiscussionsStill it would be nice to input notes from a Midi keyboard but not a top request for me anyway.
To clarify, the Arp notes are really offset of the note played on the keyboard or input in a sequencer correct? So if I have C1 and then G1 input in the Arp section and play a D the Arp will play D then A not C then G. Does that apply to all Arp modes? Do you think it would be better to represent the Arp Notes as offset number rather than note names? So an Arp pattern would be for example 0 +5 +7 +12 0 -5 -7 -12 for example. Does that make sense to anybody or am I way off?

There are certainly threads dedicated to asking for Orion 8. Notice the title of this thread.....................

Re: Dune General DiscussionsWhat are the recommended settings to get a traditional Arppegiator going? I've had some success in Dynamic Mode with :
But it doesn't quite play like a conventional Arp. Unless I'm doing something wrong. I'd love to see a Traditional Mode for the Arp with Up, Down, Up/Down, Random etc settings. Don't get me wrong I love Dynamic Mode......lot's of excellent possibilities there...........
