Hi,
I wonder why DUNE, Hydra, Toxic, etc. do not default to the original preset settings after changing parameters (without saving them) and shifting forward and back between presets. Only after closing and reopening the whole plugin the preset settings change to default again. This behaviour must be by design, but since most other synths do reset preset settings after reloading presets (when changes are not saved of course) it feels a little odd..
Any reason why this particular behaviour is preferred?

Re: Why Synapse synths don't reset preset settings after chaIf settings jump back to default on each patch change, situations where you lose hours of hard work would be much more frequent. You'd only need to touch your MIDI controller accidentally and *boom* - there goes your work. Besides, what if you automate patch changes (allowed in some hosts)?
It is also much easier to design batches of sounds / full banks, if sound settings are kept. Note that you don't need a new instance to get back to default patches. Instead, you simply store the factory banks to your local hard drive and reload when needed. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Re: Why Synapse synths don't reset preset settings after chaTotally agree ufo.
Re: Why Synapse synths don't reset preset settings after chaOk thanks for the explanation. I will try to get used to it. Normally I'm a frequent preset saver when I'm designing/tweaking sounds so fortunately I haven't lost much work in the past.
