Hi
What is the overall CPU usage like with Dune ?
I realise this is likely to be patch-dependant but a rough guide - is it a hog or lean & mean ?

Re: Seriously tempted by Dune offer .. CPU usage ?If you just talk about DUNE, it's lean back and enjoy the view.
Re: Seriously tempted by Dune offer .. CPU usage ?
very lean, you get some high cpu with BIG patches, but on the whole its very easy going on the cpu Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM
250GB SSD - 1TB HDD | M-Audio Oxygen 25 V
Re: Seriously tempted by Dune offer .. CPU usage ?It will be dependent on your computer specs as well, of course. So, download the demo (if you haven't already) and see for yourself
Re: Seriously tempted by Dune offer .. CPU usage ?And by BIG, Krim means ENORMOUSLY BIG
In most cases, for a synth of that great measure, DUNE is pretty light about its usage. I agree with Mark, though, try the demo, see how it's working for you. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Re: Seriously tempted by Dune offer .. CPU usage ?Let's not forget it can be 8 synths working at once.
You can't expect 8 high quality modern and complex synths running at once and being unnoticable on the CPU. Also it depends what polyphony you use for melodies and how is the Release setting on that patch. So Dune's CPU usage will depend on the patch and how you use that and can range from very easy to very heavy. But itself the single synth engine of Dune is very efficient and optimized.
