I am trying to create that good ol' pulsing pressure synth bass sound in DUNE.
I've been able to get it's tone and general sound I'm looking for with two exceptions.
1) I cannot get the pulse and slow as I would like its default to be
2) I cannot control the speed of the pulse very well
I figured that I would check here before I drove myself nuts re-patching it over and over again.
I'm looking for a sound much like the ancient tweakbench plugin 'Pressure' but a lot more flexibility.
The sound on this track is very akin to what I'm looking for. If anyone can help me out on this one I would very much appreciate it. I would also give them due credit is the resulting patch makes its way into the soundbank I am working on if you like.

Re: Creating a pressure Bass patch for DUNEYeah... I'll up load the patch as soon as I can. For reference though the pressure bass is located at :05, :09, and :12...
Re: Creating a pressure Bass patch for DUNEYeah, that expression is new to me, too.

Re: Creating a pressure Bass patch for DUNEHere, ya go...I went and just did a whole new set up because my first version was full of redundancies in the Matrix and I got a little closer to what I'm looking for...
I've also heard this type of sound called 'Ana Pressure' and 'Ana'. I'll find a few samples to let you hear. It's also used, with in a much faster ocs, at the beginning of Trip Like I Do by The Crystal Method You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: Creating a pressure Bass patch for DUNEok, i get where you are going
your patch is way off, its got lots of stuff that isnt needed, so i started from scratch (you are using pitch to control the beating) basically you need an lfo to gate the sound, using the MW to adjust speed on the fly. you can set speed manually if you wish to keep it constant of course. try this file, adjust sound itself to suit, but you get the idea hopefully You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. Re: Creating a pressure Bass patch for DUNEThanks!
I was using LFO in the earlier version but it just wasn't cutting it for me...probably because I had a bunch of unneeded things in that one as well. I'll let you know how this goes...
Re: Creating a pressure Bass patch for DUNEBTW, you can reverse the MW, ie set the LFO to a slow speed, and use MW to speed up the effect by changing value to a positive in the MM (apologies if you already know this)

Re: Creating a pressure Bass patch for DUNE
Yes, I just came across those playing with it. It's definitely going to be where I start when creating the final patch I need. No, I didn't know this already. The little bit I knew before 2011 was what I'd learned turning knobs in ReBirth and at different demo rooms in music shops. Not much at all. I'm using these presets for this bank as a starting point to learning synthesis. I've discovered I have a knack for taking a preset and making it my own without too much effort, so I decided to see if that was the key to patching a plugin - make the user think he's a fucking genius! lol Another knack I have is creating these really awesome sounds and will play for a little bit and the flip upside down on me for an equal amount of time. Usually happens when I just turn knobs to see what they will do and pushing it in a specific direction at the same time. I guess the two agenda's clash. and thank you!
