Question about saving soundsets?Hi, Can anyone help?
As a newbie to DUNE today i'm not sure how I is suposed to save soundsets correctly. From what I gather DUNE loads its own default banks A,B,C !! My question is, I have bought a bundle of soundsets and load a soundset into bank (A) leaving banks (B) and (C) with their original presets. When I initialize banks (B) and (C) as to leave empty I save the bank to whatever.fxb but when I reload that whatever.fxb file banks (B) and (C) appear to have presets in again! Is this normal behavour as I only what the banks left empty except bank (A) Regards CBD
Re: Question about saving soundsets?how do initialise the banks, im not aware of a way to do that

Re: Question about saving soundsets?Hi,
What i've been trying to do is load up an initilized bank into A,B,C then save bank as "Empty.fxb" then reload empty.fxb to load up all three empty banks, but it doesn't only 1 bank is empty the other 2 bank somehow have presets in again. I've been trying all afternoon but I don't think there is a work around!
Re: Question about saving soundsets?just tried, very bizzare
loaded 3 init banks and saved project, but dune doesnt load up again with 3 empty banks (2 empty banks was the best i got) looks like a bug edit: reported at beta forum Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: Question about saving soundsets?Cool, thought it was just me
Apart from the kaos when loading and saving its a cool engine. I take it your using cubase as your host?
Re: Question about saving soundsets?no, im using Orion
seems only the 'active' bank is reloaded, and the other two default back to originals Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: Question about saving soundsets?I'm begining to think the same too!
My host is Maschine 1.7.2
Re: Question about saving soundsets?Confirmed here as well. Looks like DUNE sees banks as 128 patch files rather than the whole 384 patch memory. Perhaps a Save/Load All option is needed?
EDIT: Like Krim I did manage to get two banks to save/load ....Banks A and C oddly enough.... This time I got B and C to load by having B active....looking more and more like a Bug at this point..or a limitation in the VST specs.....
Re: Question about saving soundsets?Hi Tek,
Thought it would of made sense to have a save for all 3 banks rather than having default preset fill in the other 2 banks. Bit of a mess but its not the end of the world just yet lol...
Re: Question about saving soundsets?Yes I don't know why anyone didn't catch this before. I usually work with just one bank at a time but it would be nice to have a "Best of" compilation of 384 patches. Or as I said a "Save/Load All option.....
Re: Question about saving soundsets?Have you had any of the earlier versions? I don't know how long DUNE has been out as I have only just bought it yesterday!
Re: Question about saving soundsets?ive had it since first alpha version.....3 bansk was only brought in right at the end of beta testing
im sure it has something to do with steinberg sdk only recalling 128 presets..not sure, but that kinda rings a bell from way back when we tested ive put it on the other forum so we'll see if Rich can shed any light on the problem Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: Question about saving soundsets? It would be good if this issue gets some feedback, I have been using Sylenth1 up till now and continue to use it along side DUNE and Sylenth1 works the same way but without this issue, although Sylenth1 doesn't have banks written into the .dll file it has its own separate banks to load.
Re: Question about saving soundsets? In Sylenth 1 all four Banks 1234 are treated as one 512 patch bank. You can't load four separate 128 banks into each one and save it.... At least with Dune you can load three 128 banks from 3 different sound designers....now we just need Save All.....
There's a little room on the sides of Dune's display window. Maybe a Bank D could be added..........
Re: Question about saving soundsets?i think more bank space is going to be added
i also think a diff preset browser may be better, especially if there are lots of 3rd party banks around Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM
