Hello,
One more question on the Hydra- I am trying the demo right now but this is a question for the payed version.
Is there a way to save the entire bank of sound patches that come with Hydra?
Up at the top of the Hydra VST, I can save individual patches, but not the entire bank.
This is only to try and save all the original presets in case of screw ups.
From what I read in a previous post any changes made on a sound are kept that way even if you do
not want to save the patch.
Nothing is mentioned in the help manual on saving files.
thank you for any info,
Dave

Re: Hydra demo-saving patches in the full versionThe factory bank cannot be over written, so just reload Hydra and all original sounds will be there.

Re: Hydra demo-saving patches in the full versionIn addition, you can save the default bank and just load it if you want to restore your preset modifications to "factory" settings.

What do you mean by "up at the top"? What host are you using Dave?
Re: Hydra demo-saving patches in the full versionForgot to mention what host I am using and thank you for your replies.
I am using Acousticas Mixcraft 5.2 DAW. Just above the actual Hydra program window is three things. Select preset- shows the list of all the presets for hydra. Load preset Save preset I didnt see anything in the Hydra window at all for loading or saving presets, is that true? Thank you, Dave
Re: Hydra demo-saving patches in the full versionOne last thing. i did a search on the entire C drive for Hydra folders or Synapse audio, and in those folders there are no .fxb or .fxp files for Hydra. So i guess the presets are built into the Hydra.dll itself.
Not that i am going to goof up on any of the presets, but there is always that chance we go to far with editing sometimes. Most the presets are good other than adding some effects to them. take care, Dave
Re: Hydra demo-saving patches in the full version
correct as someone said, open hydra and save factory bank as .fxb, then you have a back up if you need it. Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: Hydra demo-saving patches in the full version
Yes it's true that Hydra uses the Host's Save and Load functions for presets and banks. It does not have built in patch management. I've never used Mixcraft but there must be a way to save an .fxb bank. Check it's manual. If not and no one objects I can save the original presets as a bank and send it to you.
Re: Hydra demo-saving patches in the full versionHi Teksonik,
I have a few different DAW programs I can try their save features later. Mixcraft just seems to add to/save single new patches to hydra list if I need to do that. I tried it and it works fine. This version of Mixcraft does not have a bank save option. So I should be good to go with what I have. Dont need to have a .fxb file from you at this time. Kriminal mentioned that the factory presets cannont be overwritten, I just can add new ones to the list. I tried that and he is right when I use Mixcraft. I changed settings on the first factory preset-did not do a save, went to another preset and then came back to the one I just changed. The first preset reverted back to original settings. I dont loose or overwrite original factory patch settings. So thanks for all the information on this from all of you. Each Synth is different as I get new ones. take care, Dave
