How do I use the drums from DUNE in Cubase5 without making the basedrum on one channel and the snare on the next and so on....??
I´ve clicked the "convert program list to Vst preset" but they don´t show up in the Media Bay in Cubase.
I would like to drag and drop different drums into the GROOVE AGENT ONE, just as I can with any other sound from other plugins.
Please help me!!
Regards Daniel

Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEit's very easy, you just have to sample every drum sound from Dune.
insert Dune create a pattern with only note playing the drum you want to sample stream the pattern to a wave file trim the wave file with an audio editor load the wave file into groove agent one Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEOkey, thanks.
But there´s no easier way to do it? What is the "convert program list to Vst preset" then?
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONE
I think your best place to ask that will be the Cubase forum.
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEThanks.
Sampling now, quite easy way to do it
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEThat gives me an idea........Load 4 or 5 Dunes each with it's own drum patch selected, create some drum loops and then render them to wav. Should be a fun project.
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEYou only just thought of that?
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEI only just thought of using Dune for making loops.......I usually don't pay much attention to it's drum patches and other than a couple of bass drum sounds couldn't tell you for sure if there are any other drum patches in the factory content. Normally I use samples or plugins like Microtonic and RMIV. I have used FM7 and Sylenth etc for drum patches in the past.......as in years ago.....
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEHey maybe a contest. Design the best Dune drum kit. Kick, Snare, Hats, Claps, Toms, and Perc etc. I'd lose as I've never really liked creating drum patches but would be a nice challenge for all Dune users.
Templates again........load up 5 or 6 Dunes. Label their mixer strips Kick, Snare etc and save the whole thing as a Template....Dune Drum Machine. Of course you can add any inset effects to each channel you want and save them with your template(s) as well.......yes I know not a new idea but fun. I've spent the last few minutes checking out the drum patches in Dune's factory content. Some nice stuff in there.......
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEThat's actually a great idea. I'm on it
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEShould we make a thread here and see if there is any interest in a contest ? Maybe one at KVR just to drum up interest in Dune ?(pun intended).
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONESure, but maybe we should thrash out the form of the comp via PM first?
Re: Get drums from DUNE into Cubase 5´s GROOVE AGENT ONEi have a preset for Dune somewhere that uses keytracking to make a drum kit...low keys = kick, high keys = hats and inbetween is snares and toms of sorts.
