Was there a v2.1 that I missed?
I ask because the latest upgrade has given me some patches that aren't on the new patch list; not that I'm complaining!
Installation was seamless and I love the new sounds/features.

There was v2.00 to v2.07, and some updates added a few patches. Roughly 350->370->443 patches in total (v2.2).

I've read the first post when 2.2 came out. There is now a 2.201 for the Mac in the downloads area. I was just wondering if that was a small update to 2.2 for Mac and if so what the changes are.

I tried some free soundbanks today and they give the following message:
"This patch requires version 2.21".
However, I don't see such version available?

Can someone explain the "upgrade" for Dune 2? I'm not sure what this means. I bought dune last year and tried the demo out, but I'm a little house poor right now and can't afford 169, but if upgrading means I lose Dune 1, then I have to wait.

Hi All,

So, my apologies but could not find an answer in the forum or online within about 45 minutes so I decided to ask the professionals... I have installed the latest version of Dune 2 version 2.21 but when I check on the actual VST in my DAW it still indicates version 2.01. It appears as if the update is either occurring but not updating in the GUI or that it is not occurring, but I tend to think it is the former. I believe this to be the case because I just purchased and downloaded the EDM Patch Expansions 1 & 2 and they both work in Dune 2 and my understanding was that they would not work in earlier versions.

Could someone confirm this for me? And if possible, could someone explain why the version is not updating in the GUI or to the contrary why Dune 2 is potentially not updating when I run the installer with all other applications closed?

My system: Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 / i7-5960X / 3.0 GHz / 64 GB RAM /

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ran the installer "As administrator"? Perhaps it's lacking permissions to write newer files to the designated folder. This can occur if you're trying to install into Program Files folders (both of them).

Just right click on the installer, choose Run as administrator, and follow the procedure normally. If you get any prompts, just answer affirmatively. You can be safe knowing that DUNE installer doesn't contain any malicious codes (virus, trojans, keyloggers...)

I will try running as ADMIN but I have never had an issue in the past since my account is an ADMIN account. In any event, IT may just work! I will try that and I appreciate the advice. I will let you know how it works out. Thank you Hypnagogia and I hope you have a great week!
