Anyone had any experience using this with Orion?
It seems to work in a different manner to other plugins, and their website has specific instruction for different sequencers, but guess what, none for Orion.

I only have the trial version (which has another 9 days to run)

it works 100% for me -

put on any insert channel (even the master return) or stick it on a bus return and send a group of tracks to it -- set it to receive midi from an empty sampler.

then hold down notes on the sampler and instant stutters....

good luck!

what i mean is you can send a group of tracks to bus #2 for example -
then put stutter edit on the insert fx of bus #2 and every track you send to bus #2 will be included in the stutter.

you have to put in the song playlist the pattern of the empty sampler that is controlling the stutter edit plug in.
you can make multiple patterns for different stutter effects....

i use this for say sending all my synth tracks through bus #2 and then i can stutter multiple tracks at the same time with only one instance of stutter edit.

hope that makes sense!

Is it better than dB Glitch?

I still use the free version of Glitch and find it quite useful.

Wazza have you upgraded to the new version and if so, is it any better to stuff around with?

Cheers

I use it and I love it. However there is a minor timing bug when using SE in Orion and some other sequencers, but there is a workaround: You just have to offset the trigger notes (just a tick to the left).

Glitch 2 is pretty good. I find the UI a bit easier to use than the first version.
I generally use it if I want a fancy sounding effect as a bridge.

Junebug,

Ok this works very similar to Glitch.

One issue is, the patterns change when I change note in my Sampler, which is fine, but how do you actually edit the patterns?

i have not gotten this deep into it....
;)

it comes with LOADS of presets - i just play around with it until something sounds good.

everything you need to know about PROGRAMMING it should be in the manual or on youtube?

while both glitch and (glitch2) and izotope stutter edit all provide "glitches" -

i find them to not be really all that comparable.... they do different kinds of glitching... and you get different kinds of results with each.

i like and use BOTH quite a bit and i also am wanting to grab glitch bitch from vengeance sound....

That's what I mean. How do you play around with a pattern? When I select a note in my Sampler, I can see it corresponds to a predefined pattern, but I can't work out how I can edit that pattern!

I probably should rtfm :|
