installing the new beta version

hey guys -

i want to check out the new beta version - it says not to use it for important projects.....

so - can i simply install it on an external hard drive and not have it interfere with my existing installed version of 8.5?

just want to be sure that installing the new beta is NOT going to mess up anything with my existing 8.5 version....

no, you have to install over your previous install but you can install the previous to switch between both

I have 7.6 and the beta running in parallel without problems. I'll test 8 retail in my setup for you.

yes, 7.6 and 8.5 together but not several 8.x according to Richard

I can confirm that. Crashes everywhere.

I uninstall everything and now I only work with 8.6 beta. Except for the popular bug with the piano roll, everything goes well.
