(i post same problem to forum but on bad topic, sorry about that)
Hi
I have Dune (1.4), Sonar X2 32b, Win7 64bit, i5 processor adn 4GB ram. Dune is working perfectly on SonarX2. But i discover problem with FAT mode. If i have in my sound 8 unison voices with FAT mode, i get strange sound (like strong synchronized phase maybe) on first played notes, after while sound is softer, or normal. I cant explain it better, so i show example. In the example i dont modulate sound. Any lfo or automation is not used.
ps: sorry for my english

Re: Dune problem with FAT mode in first play notesDoes this happen in general when using DUNE, or with a certain patch?

Re: Dune problem with FAT mode in first play notesIn general. Try yourself, if you can.
open ini patch, set up 8 unison vocies with 17% Detune Mix Osc 50% Osc1: Square, Fat 15% Osc2: Saw, +12 semi, Fat 60% Cutoff: 50%, CuoffENV 50%, FilterType: LP Ladder 24 Filter Env: Sustain 0% You can hear it on basic presets in Dune if you play with some settings similar to this. For example in Amnesia 89 RL btw. if more FAT this effect is less hear, but it still here. EDIT: I tried Dune in Notion 3 and MHost. In MHost it heppend only in first play notes, after that if i stop play on Dune, the unwanted effect is gone. But, after change preset and back preset to my, efect is back only for first play notes. This happen in Notion 3 too. In sonar X2 is sound engine different and this unwanted effect is still here if i click on play button.
Re: Dune problem with FAT mode in first play notesWith those settings, I'm getting completely different sound than the file you posted, and I'm not hearing anything unusual, even on the "Amnesia 89 RL" patch. Seems ok to me.

Re: Dune problem with FAT mode in first play notesYes it is different sound as i post, but it make this unwanted effect too. This unwanted effect do every time, if i use FAT.
if you want exactly sound as i post here is it: 8 unison vocies with 20% Detune, Spread 100% Mix Osc 50% Osc1: Square, Fat 10% Osc2: Saw, +12 semi, Fat 61% Cutoff: 70%, Reso: 15%, CuoffENV 39%, KeyTrack: 15%, FilterType: Lowpass 12 Filter Env:Attack 0%, Decay 56%, Sustain 0%, Release 56% Amp: A 0%, D 50%, S 100%, R 41% Patch settings: Voices 72 If you dont here this effect try set up one of the patch i post, and after set up, change to another preset and take back for one of this preset and start play. If you dont hear, try this procedure again. What software you use for run Dune?
Re: Dune problem with FAT mode in first play notesI'm using Orion.
I heard it this time, but it wasn't that bad as in your example. I can't think about anything that would cause it. Sorry. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Re: Dune problem with FAT mode in first play notesI think it is bug in Dune, if you can hear it. Maybe not only in Dune. I hope there will be some fix or patch. Now i have more work and i must set volume down and add some notes, before this sound play own part.
Re: Dune problem with FAT mode in first play notesHi did you manage to find the answer? I to have very bad sound because of the fat mode. Thought I had automation on it by accident but nothing and no clue to why its happening.
Re: Dune problem with FAT mode in first play notesNo answer here. What i find is only use DAW where it is less annoying. For example i tried Reaper, and this unwanted sounds is only on start up Reaper. And it is appear everytime if you change sound in Dune. But i am not 100% if it working good in Reaper, I made quick test. And fix for this bug is in stars.
