Would be appreciated:
- Sine waveform as regular VA (sine is "the basic" for all analog synths). I don't understand why Sine is as wavetable, mysterious for me...
- A serious WT editor (even external), and/or WAV support for wavetables (like Xfer Serum). Audio-Term utility is simply a joke, aren't? antique MS-DOS look-like (do I need an Hercules videocard?), 8.3 filenames WTF! (regression).
- A new arpeggiator, I mean a real (layer) module in GUI, not on LCD because it's unreadable, unusable, not user friendly, and the the worse (Oscar for this), we must switch between
four pages/tabs to access all 32 steps!
- Vertical faders for ADSR envelopes (filter, amplitude) because it's really difficult to "read" knobs for a "visual representation" about the envelope shape (sorry for my explanation because I'm French, my English isn't perfect... but I hope my explanation is enough clear).
- More explanations about displayed parameters using
percent, instead of absolute values. e.g. for cutoff frequency, what's mean the percentage? (50% of what?). Same for ADSRs (A, D and R are times
and audio levels, S is an audio level). Same also for Detune (semitones? cents?). Nothing about % representations are explained in PDF manual. Why? really it's not easy for sound designing and to understand the synth mechanisms!
EDITED: DUNE 2 remains an excellent synth, however! I'm loving:
- The Unison Engine (terrible and unique).
- The Mod Matrix (32 slots, for me, it's perfect).
- FM implementation.
- MIDI Program Change, Bank Select MSB/LSB are fully supported (bravo for this!)
- CPU friendly.
- The large LCD screen for preset name and comments (but not for arpeggiator).
I precise I'm legit customer/user (full version 2.21 Windows VST x64) since X-mas 2014.
Thanks.
