Hey, it's a nice skin, but to pay for a skin for a synth at 7% of the price of the synth is somewhat not acceptable for me.

It's not big money, and every work should be payed for. But it's a skin for a synth... Just that...

It's a nice skin and very inspiring, but I'd rather save for another soundset and learn something useful for it.

Couple of euros maybe, but 10...

No hate but there's no reason he shouldn't be able to charge a fair amount for his work. People charge more for presets. Yes with presets you can make music but a good skin can put you in the right frame of mind to be more creative and really isn't that what it's all about ?

If it's a really nice skins that I'd love to use, then, honestly, I wouldn't mind paying up. This one doesn't really appeal to me though, tbh.

@Teksonik - Thank you, that's exactly how I feel when it comes to presets vs. skins/ui.

@ProgTranceME - IMO pricing is fair considering the amount of time I have spent on these skins. I wanted to make it affordable to most users (if not all). Anything less than $10, I might as well give it for free . I understand it's inevitable to compare presets vs. skins. Both takes a lot of effort (if not same). Personally they are equally important to me but may not be for you, which is okay.

Hey, i really do think that visual impact of vst synth is very important. it followed me for over two decades using both hardware and software synths.

Time is money and you made something that could possibly inspire people.

It was just my thought that I saw someone selling a skin for a piece of software, and for a big chunk of synth's original price.

Now, I will purchase your skin in a few days. I was just surprised that those types of items one can sell. I downloaded numerous skins for other popular synths before, so I guess you can all understand my point.

However, DUNE 2 is a wonderful sounding synth, and indeed deserves nice looking skins, like yours.

I've long been an advocate of having a site where GUI artists can sell their Skins and Themes just as there are sites where people sell Presets and Samples. Yes presets and samples actually make sound whereas skins do not but talent is talent and effort is effort. Like I said having a skin that is pleasing to the eye and highly functional can greatly influence productivity. I've purchased skins directly from the artists before and will do so in the future if they inspire me.

I think anyone who pays for either is a mug. And far from being creative, 99% of making music is just hard slog. The old 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration quote is 100% applicable to making music.

You keep saying that, but I don't find that to be the case at all. I don't know, maybe I don't spend as much time in post production as you do. I get it to a point where it's good enough and leave it at that. Most people don't give a crap anyway, listening to music on their crappy earbuds or worse yet phone or laptop speakers.
