I may be the only person here that doesn't use Dune.

I must say after enyjoing creating more and more patches with Dune 2, that it eat most of all synths for breakfast when it comes to snappy things. And it has huge balls. In terms of the possibilities about sound design it's also one of the most interesting synths out there.
I don't need 100 EDM patch banks. Dune can do it but it's a lot more versatile compared to other synths. I find Serum sound thin against Dune 2 f.e. The included FX are also one of the best sounding in any synth (especially the reverb).
I mean i miss a few things but Dune is still my Nr. one "only" synthesis synth. Only 2 hybrid i prefer over it.

Then you should visit that thread at KVR and say what you just said here. :)

I think not having a WT creator might have killed of a lot of 3rd party soundbanks. As for quality, its KvR.... they want millions of exactly the same cheesey dance sounds... they have no interest in a synths capabilities.

I dont think its getting trashed...its only a few posts. It gets a lot of praise normally. Its a saturated market, and most ppl dont make their own sounds, so if a synth doesnt have millions of banks its classed as a 'failure' by ignorant ppl.

I've tried in other threads. It's not worth it. They are none so blind as those that won't see.

Yes but you can turn the light on..............

Whatever, let people say DUNE 2 has no balls, isn't snappy or plucky, can't do EDM etc etc. Like I said it's not my product.

I'm not using Dune or Dune 2 either.

Not my cup of tea at all.

Agreed about soundbanks. It's a must have.

I'm fighting for Dune 2 too guys. Not that anyone cares but Dune 2 is worth it to try :D
I find all the other "EDM" synths boring against this.

I love Dune 2 but it has a lot of great competition at the moment and, unfortunately, popularity cannot be correlated with quality. Doesn't have "big balls?" I confess Dune and I are not yet so intimate that I can confirm or deny this. In some ways I hope not since I love HER for her mind. :)

Dune 1 got trashed too by some, later they admitted they hadn't even tried it ;) It's just the normal fanboyism which shouldn't be taken too seriously.

We strongly believe in DUNE 2, it has been a very successful synth for us. We're grateful for the trust, and we're going to make a big update scheduled for winter this year (free for registered users). This will make the nitpickers shut up for sure :)
