I love Dune 2.5, especially the brilliant new filters, but I find it's overloading my memory - even playing the factory patches.
I'm running Windows 10, Studio One v3.1.1 (with the latest fixes) on an 8 core i7 3.6Ghz processor.
I've never had a memory problem with Dune before and wondered if there was a v2.5 memory problem with my setup.
I'm not getting the same problems when I play (for example) a complex arped soundscape in Omnisphere.
I'm out of my depth now.
Can anyone help?
thanx = kev

Re: dune 2.5 eating memoryAre you Kevvvvv from KVR ?
If so then I'm sure you know the difference between eating memory and CPU so forgive me for asking what do you mean by "overloading your memory when playing" ? If there is some issue I can test here I'll be glad to pass it along at the beta forum.........
Re: dune 2.5 eating memoryhey there, im having the same issue with the 2.5 update.
im also on studio one 3 latest version on windows 7 64 bit with 8 gig. and a rme 9632 audio card and a quad core. i have spent a couple of days trying to see what could be the issue but no dice. what ever i try to play it always spike up to 100 on the studio one cpu meter. but my task manager show only like 25 percernt.

Re: dune 2.5 eating memorythanx krim
seems to have done the trick. i'd forgotten all about that little switch i love the new cuebrick leads - these are new sounds for me. They have such a flat burning quality that sizzles through a mix. this year i've canned most all my synths in favour of dune. It has such a great sound of its own - a bit like having a favourite guitar. nice to see you, and thanks for the help. kev

Re: dune 2.5 eating memoryHmmmm it seems like this is several times I've read that "turn off multi-threading" has solved a CPU issue. Is there a problem with MT in certain hosts that Synapse should look into or is this just the nature of plugin based Multi-Threading ? I don't seem to have problems here and always have MT enabled. MT Enabled causing CPU spikes seems to be counter intuitive.....
