Orion instruments and effects as standalone package

Postby blutzukker » Thu Jul 07, 2016 7:57 am

Hello.

Very often I miss some cool VSTi's and VST's that were included in Orion in my new DAW of choise. Most times it's the great DrumRack.

Now as Orion will not be developed any more - could you be so kind to sell the once included VSTi's / VST's as a package? I would love to can use them furhter on in my new DAW.

What do the others think? Who want's that, too?

Orion have awesome features. The DrumRack as VST would be great, the Stereo FX Holder, Multi Fx Holder, Band Fx Holder, etc.

I just keep using them in Orion. Still works fine here, should do for ten years or more on Win10

I don't believe that Orion's generatores will ever be released as a VST, but for sure that would be great.
What I am missing most in Cubase is Orion note editor. I will try to use Orion with ReWire, maybe that's working for you, too? (as long as your other DAW has ReWire)

For Rewire to work, Orion needs to be set as Master.

I don't think it is. You wouldn't be able to use it like you'd use a synth.

I vote for this. DrumRack definitely. And also that marvellous Sampler(with Guitarpackages) and WASP(!) and WaveFusion and Ultran and good old XR-909 too....
Orion rules! Orion demo songs.

I agree with that, especially Sampler and WASP :)

Not 100% sure but I think I remember the sampler was repackaged and sold by another company a while back. So there may be issues with that one.

I don't remember such thing happening.

Zampler sprung out from a concept that I believe came from Sampler - or rather its shortcomings to manage SFZ files.

That happened, but as a DXi. Outdated tech now, I guess.

Edit: Here it is:
