all tips are welcome. cant realy listen what im doing..
have tried audio output latencies and multi processor engine..

Re: Reducing cpu usage in song mode?If you're at the point where the CPU usage is so high that even playback in Song mode isn't nice to listen to, without having a deeper look into it, the only advice I have is to start optimizing your project. Lower synths polyphony, number of effects. If possible, even change synths and effects for others with same or even similar sounds but take up less resources to run the project.
For anything more than that, I guess system specs (CPU/RAM/soundcard/latency) would be first steps, number of synths/effects... or anything else that might help. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Re: Reducing cpu usage in song mode? You can trying lowering polyphony in samplers if you're using a lot of them.
And the obvious one is to export patterns you're happy with to .wav, then remove the synths.
Re: Reducing cpu usage in song mode?Try this before you start gutting your project.
Go to Windows control panel > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings From there, under the "processor power management" setting, change your minimum processor state to 100% (default is normally around 5%). This will prevent your processor from slowing down and speeding up based on CPU load. I have seen this help *immensely* with poor song playback in Orion. The reason it helps is that the speed throttle on the CPU simply does not react quickly enough to handle latency sensitive tasks like real-time audio. If you're on a laptop, it will increase the amount of power you're using and your battery will be empty faster, so it's usually best to make a new power plan called something like "Orion Mode" and switch to it only when you need the extra CPU speed. Re: Reducing cpu usage in song mode?ty for tips. will try them.
umm, how to lower polyphony in samplers? eV3r sE3n fIr3 in Zer0 gr4viTy
Re: Reducing cpu usage in song mode?
This helped little but not enough... Did also lower polyphony in all synths but its still taking almost 100% cpu usage and the obvious one was to export synthlines to wav... Last edited by fea on Sun Dec 04, 2016 12:33 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Reducing cpu usage in song mode?i bet your cpu issue is not with sampler
what synth are you using ? try to reduce the release env amp on your cpu eating synth Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
Re: Reducing cpu usage in song mode?
this project has Sylenth1:s, z3ta+2:s, renegades, Ultran, loads of vst effects. almost all releases are at 0. needed to export 1 Sylenth1 to wav and cpu usage dropped to 89% and now it plays nicely. Just hate to loose those tweaking possibilities.. eV3r sE3n fIr3 in Zer0 gr4viTy
Re: Reducing cpu usage in song mode?in song mode, you can also freeze your track with orion 8.6
