DUNE 2.501 / Sonar Platinum / WIN 10 - CRASH - RESOLVED

New install of Windows 10 with all current updates + latest Sonar Platinum - DUNE 2.501 crashes immediately on load with a newly launched Sonar and adding it as the first synth. Using the 64bit DUNE 2.501 on 64bit Sonar with an M-Audio Profire 2626 with the latest drivers. In Sonar I'm using ASIO mode with the Profire 2626 drivers. I tried an older version of DUNE 2 and it works fine, but I bought the new trance bank which requires the new version and now I can't use it. Why does Synapse have such consistent trouble with their plugins? I have hundreds of others, fully licensed, and no trouble with any of them.

Possibly installation has been run during Sonar instance was opened.

Please make sure the host is closed and then run DUNE 2 deinstallation (make also sure that there's no DLL files in the plugin folders stayed). After deinstallation please run DUNE 2 installation process once again. You can also try with "DUNE 2" folder removal in the "My Documents/Synapse Audio" location (however if you stored your custom files at there, please back them up before remove).

I found your post at the Cakewalk Forums where no one else is having a similar issue.

I'm still on Sonar X3 but DUNE 2.501 works fine with it.

Thanks everyone for the comments. At the end of the day my My Documents/Synapse/DUNE 2 directory only contained 2 subdirectories. After following the instructions in this thread and re-examining that folder, there were now 4 subdirectories. And the instrument now loads up in Sonar.
