No, I was using DUNE 1 before, but even there MIDI Learn didn't work.

What CC numbers do you use on your controller? For example try CC#24, does this work for you?

After CC#24 works as expected I tested all CCs from 1-20.
CC#1, 2, 4, 11 do not work, all others (in the range of 1-20) do work as expected.

Some of the MIDI CC#'s are hard coded, e.g., CC#1 is hard coded to modulation, i.e., the mod wheel. There is a base set of such hard coded CC#'s. I'm not sure what they are off the top of my head atm.

Some undefined CC#'s that you might want to test are as follows: 3, 9, 14-15, 20-31, 85-90, 102-119. There are also some 'soft-linked' generic CC#'s that should work such as CC#70-83 and probably others.

Just a quick check with my MIDI controller shows that the following are hard coded and won't work:

1, 2, 4, 11, 32, 64, 120, 121, 123.

Everything else should work, unless I missed some out whilst testing.

Thanks for your reply.
Can you please check what CC11 is assigned to, reg. to the manual it should be connected to Volume but that doesn't work. This is basically the most important controller for me because the volume of all my software instruments are automated and controlled by CC#11.
If CC#11 (Expression) would control the Volume slider all would be fine for me.

CC#11 is expression as you state. You can use the equivalent Expr in the mod matrix to control whatever you want from CC#11, e.g.,

Expr +100 Master Volume N/A

with master volume knob set at 0 will then allow you to control the master volume with CC#11 (expression).

I can't find the master volume destination in the Mod Matrix, only Mixer volume. Also, when the master volume slider is set to 0 the out signal is zero, I can't find a way to make that work.
Just in case I could make it to work that way wouldn't that be a per preset solution, i.o.w., I'd have to change the modulation matrix for every single preset?

Sorry, my mistake. I was using DUNE3 without thinking and assuming that it would be the same. I'll check again tomorrow. but with DUNE2.

Before I do that though, try linking Expr to Amp Level.

Did that already but it's a per preset solution so not really an option for me since controlling the volume is a “must have“ while controlling other parameters is really “nice to have“ feature.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to check again !!

I've just checked in D2 and the hard coded CC#111 works for volume.

It does here as as well, but 111 is not an option to control the main volume of SIs, too bad.
I'm using an expression pedal that's always assigned to CC#11 to control the volume in real time.

Does it make sense to send an enhancement request to improve the current behaviour?

No harm in trying!

Have you thought about using some intermediate software to remap CC#11 from your pedal to CC#111? I realise that might be a bit of a pain, but at least you wouldn't have to convert each and every preset!!
