Hi there,
I recently purchased Dune 2 in the sale while being aware that Dune 3 was soon to be released. I must say that out of all the VST Synthesizers that I currently use (Synthmaster, Spire, Serum... etc) Dune 2 probably has the clearest, richest and most polished sounds and it is a joy to use!
Once Dune 3 was released I was curious as to how different it would be and from what I could gather from the demo, there are some nice improvements added (editable wavetable synthesis, dual arpeggiators, improved EQ... etc) and the presets maintain the high standards of it's predecessor. After being so impressed with Dune 2 I anticipate purchasing Dune 3 in the months to come. The question is though, would I have to purchase an upgrade from Dune 2 to 3, or could I continue to use Dune 2 as it is and purchase the full version of Dune 3, allowing me to use both Dune Synths in my DAW?
Also, while it clearly states on your site that Dune 3 is patch compatible with Dune 2 utilising it's presets, If I can only upgrade, I am concerned that I would lose some of the soundbanks and presets currently present in Dune 2, such as the XMAS Add-ons 'Ambient sounds part A and part B' which contain a total of 250 extra presets. These lush Pad sounds are essential to my projects and are not something I would want to be without!
I'm also a little surprised you have got rid of Dune 1 as it was a separate product from Dune 2/3, surely it had some use and life left in it? (I only use the Computer Music version! )
Regardless, I am looking forward to using Dune 2 (or 3) in my future projects and I thank you for producing yet another top quality software instrument. To everyone at Synapse Audio, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

Re: Dune 2/3?Thanks Kriminal,
That answers the question nicely that I could purchase Dune 3 and run both Dune 2 and Dune 3 separately within my DAW, but what if I choose to just upgrade instead, would I lose the two XMAS Addon packs that came with Dune 2, as they are not part of the initial factory Soundbanks and patches?
Re: Dune 2/3?AFAIK, they are in the factory bank of Dune3

Re: Dune 2/3?
if you upgrade, its no different, you still have to separate synths, just copy your preset folders into the D3 data Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: Dune 2/3?Thanks Christophe and Kriminal,
Knowing that I can upgrade to Dune 3 and keep both Dune 2 and it's addon packs working, or copy the presets into Dune 3 if I wish to sounds great! I think I've just decided on my first 2019 purchase! Cheers both of you!
