Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3I was auditioning several of the new sounds in Dune 3, having just downloaded it last night. I noticed on a couple of the ARP sounds that rather than using one of the 20 or so patterns that come with Dune 3, the programmer (KS, I believe) used a couple original MIDI files. Cool. I thought it would be cool to see what using those might sound like on other patches. But I can't see a way to do that. I looked for those MIDI files in the Dune 3 folder, but all that's there are the 20 or so factory patterns. So now I'm trying to understand how that works. If you use a non-factory pattern to create an arp for a patch, where is it stored? Where do I find the MIDI file the factory preset is using, so I can apply it to some other patch if I wish? I've combed through the Dune 3 folder, but I don't see any MIDI files there other than the factory patterns. Or, is it not possible to do this?
Re: Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3Hi,
I‘ve the same question maybe the producers d‘nt allow to use this midi patterns for another patches. Hopefully we get a answer from someone
Re: Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3there is no midi file, the notes are embedded in the patch

Re: Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3Ok thanks ... There is no way to use the notes with another patch ?
Re: Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3open 2 instances and copy the voices from the sound patch you want to use and paste to the patch with the arp you want to use

Re: Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3Uhhh many thx Christophe, I will try it
Re: Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3
That's kinda what I thought. It would be nice to have a feature where you could retain an arp to try with other patches.
Re: Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3I'm not usually so interested in arpeggiators, but those in Dune are so good that it seems like a good idea
Re: Using MIDI for Arps in Dune 3
I agree. Omnisphere has an option like that, and its nice to see how a particular arp might sound on several different patches. The workaround suggested here is a bit cumbersome.
