Re: loading 3rd party presetIs the Preset in .fxp format on the Computer Music Magazine CD ?
If it's an .fxp file click on where it says Patch on the DuneCm interface and navigate to where the .fxp file is located then load the Preset. Or are you saying the Preset won't load after taking the above steps ?
Re: loading 3rd party presethi thanks for reply, yes preset dosent load,i do what u suggested and the current preset stays loaded,i tried moving to bank b which is init preset and same result
Re: loading 3rd party presetIs the preset for the exact same version of Dune CM you have installed ? Are you sure that preset isn't for the full version of Dune and not Dune CM ?
Re: loading 3rd party presetyes it is dune cm that computer music are using in the tutorial
Re: loading 3rd party preseti clicked on properties in the fxp.
it says type of file cubase effect program file(.fxp) i am using cubase 9.5 and have tried cubase 10
Re: loading 3rd party presetYes that's the proper file format for patches. An .fxb file would be a Bank file.
The only thing I can think of is that the patch is for a different version of Dune or perhaps the patch is corrupted. It shouldn't matter what DAW you are using. Can you upload the patch here or somewhere else ? I'll check it out when I get back from getting breakfast.
Re: loading 3rd party preseti tried attaching it here but i get message the file extension .fxp is not allowed
Re: loading 3rd party preset
zip it or put it on a virtual drive like box dropbox or google drive Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
Re: loading 3rd party presetI've always wondered why Forums will allow a zip file which could contain malware to be uploaded but not a simple .fxp file. Especially on a Forum dedicated to synths that use the .fxp format.......
I suppose someone could place a malicious payload in an .fxp file but I'm not aware that it's ever been done. Anyway I can't think of why the patch won't load unless it's a Version issue or a corrupt file. Anyone else have an idea ? Last edited by Teksonik on Thu Jan 10, 2019 3:44 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: loading 3rd party preseti think i have attached now
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: loading 3rd party presetI don't have DuneCM installed and I'd have to look for one of my Computer Music Disks.
Anyone else have DuneCM installed ? Last edited by Teksonik on Thu Jan 10, 2019 4:08 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: loading 3rd party presetOk I installed DuneCM on another system and the patch won't load there. It must be a corrupted file.
