Dune 3

Hello, when I installed Dune 3 a few weeks ago, everything worked perfectly. Today, I have Dune3 that appears in Cubase as
the attached image. I have disinstalled, reinstalled, nothing helps. Note that I have Windows 10 updated, Cubase Artist 10 updated ... what to do? thank you.

you mixed both installation folder between dune2 and dune3

uninstall Dune2 and Dune3
delete all the remaining folder if they are still there
reinstall Dune3

So I erased everything (dune 2 and dune 3), searched for files and folders on windows..and still deleted. I cleaned the registry and reinstalled dune3, it's the same, no solution, the bug is still present.

I then installed dune 2 and it works perfectly...except one thing. when I choose a skin, nothing changes.

Your screenshot above is a Dune 2 skin which is why it's not working in Dune 3. It would appear there is something wrong with your skin folder or its location. If you've deleted everything from Dune 2 there is no way that skin should appear.

Do you have another DAW or Host you can test Dune 3 with ?

So I just tested Dune 3 with Reason 10, and it works ! And the skin change works perfectly with Dune 2 and Dune 3. For me, Dune 3 does not work with cubase artist 10.0.30

i suppose you installed Dune in two differents folder one right for Reason and a wrong one for Cubase ..

I did not change the installation of dune 3 before installing Reason...

Does the same issue exist as shown in your screenshot above ? The Dune 2 skin showing on Dune 3 ? Can you do a plugin re-scan in Cubase ?

I don't own any version of Cubase so can't help with it.

For summary, I deleted Dune 3 and Dune 2 and all the folders. I installed Dune 3 again. Under Cubase Artist 10, I always have Dune 3 with the skin of Dune 2 (even when I do not have Dune 2 installed). I then installed Dune 2 and it normally appears in Cubase (except that no skin works when I change them). I then installed Reason 10 which loaded all my plugins: Dune 2 and Dune 3 work normally with Reason and with the good skins (and when I change skin, it works too). I will try to reload my plugin in Cubase as soon as I can. I'll keep you informed. Thanks for your help.

if you deleted all the folders, you shouldnt be able to load a D2 skin in D3

i suggest unistalling everything

manually delete all files (they should be My Docs/Synapse Audio/Dune2 and My Docs/Synapse Auduo/ Dune 3

then do a search for any files you may have missed, and delete these (make sure you have backed up and 3rd party soundbanks etc)

reboot your pc, then install Dune 3 (you dont need D2)

Yes there's no way Dune 3 should be pulling the Dune 2 skin if it's not somewhere on your hard drive. Cubase doesn't "cache" anything does it ?
