Hello, I have a similar question.

Some standart presets have a midi notes, that are playing even with off ARP button. But I cannot find this midi files in standart folders. Could you tell, please, hoe can I find It, if it possible.

Thank you.

they are embedded in the preset, you have no access to them

Wait...

You turn off ARPs (via buttons) and you can still hear ARPs playing?

I think it would work to just click the "ALL" button, and then turn both ARPs off, if I'm not mistaking.

That's the way I'd do it. Stay on the All button then click on/off both Arps. In one of his screenshots it shows 4 voices so I imagine it's just one or more of the voices still have an Arp active.

Or maybe the patch is using mseg to sequence and arp.

With the patch shown in the screenshots above "Empathy KS" there is MSEG 1 to Osc 1 Semi but the envelope is set to just add a pitch blip. Turning off both Arps in that patch shuts off all Sequencing.

Turning off the Arps on some of Kevin's patches reveals some very nice core sounds. 8)

Ooops! That`s really bad! If you just want to adjust one note of a preset Midi file you will have to play and record all over again!

If you have a Major Mode Midi file and you just want to adjust some notes you will have to make your own Midi file from the start!

This is not clever!

Maybe some improvements on this area could be great

It was done to protect the Midi Files of sound designers. So no it's not really bad, there is a reason.

Like I said in the other thread you bumped on the same subject you can already create your own sequences and load them into D3's Arp.

Isn't that the general idea of music making? To make your own stuff?

This is not clever!

Yes, it is.

There's nothing to improve in that regard.
You can think of it as if you're collaborating with the person who made them, and those are their contributions.

So, you have two options:
1. Use them as they are, and credit the makers (which is a requirement)
2. Make your own melodies

You can, with a work around.

In Cubase Pro 12 you can record the arp to audio and then in Variaudio you can extract the audio to Midi (turn off the FX in the patch) :)
