Time View
Maybe I'm wrong but I can't imagine that it is that much work adding a code to show a clock ticking at the status bar ?!?! No added graphics, don't have to change any skins and you guys can continue to both practice math and CTRL+I clicking if you wish.

listen, the clock is useless, you cant see it unless you open it, then it never stays on top..useless... i am happy to have it on the toolbar, its the same as looking at the start/stop or bar numbers, same size, we all do it all the time....
the way things are going round here at the moment, i have already started looking at other hosts..im sick of having my requests either turned down or just bloody ignored, not to mention things i actually use REMOVED..its fucking ridiculous! Not sure about the coding side, cause obviously I'm not a programmer. But if it was to happen (placing it on the toolbar), it would require some code modifications. As for the skin, it will need to be changed. Skin will need to accommodate the TimeView in its graphical representation. SoundCloud ::: Facebook

Time ViewOh don't tell me Rich - Vista's got the clock at the top now? 15 years I've been looking bottom right, and now it's top and center? But if Orion's full screen - won't it be covered up?
I agree with Krim that the clock could be improved. I still think a open and Save View would be the best. There for those that rely on it, out of the way for those that don't. What would even be cool is to have a transparent time overlay option of the entire screen for all on stage to see, I'm dealing with this idiot right now that just doesn't get when he's supposed to come in. I'm playing guitar and have to constantly signal to him with a nod or something. Time View saved with song, and a HUGE overlay option that could be saved with song also. Then I coul open my lappy, load the song and say 'At the big 31 you jackass!' and strap on that guitar and go.

It's been a while since I had Vista on my computer, but yes, it does have a clock on desktop, as a part of its sidebar. And you still have the classic clock down in the systray, right where it used to be SoundCloud ::: Facebook

which hosts have you been eyeballing?

No the ultimate in silliness are your analogies. Why would you have any reason to disbelieve the toolbar timeclock any more than the pop up clock? That just doesn't make any sense. Here's a test. Try having the Time showing with the Playlist maximized. I can't get the clock to show on top of the Playlist when it's at full screen. Ok I did manage to get the time to show on top of the full Playlist but any time you click on a pattern or generator in the Playlist the clock disappears and has to be re-selected from the View Menu. I don't use the time view much but I would find it a bit fiddly having it go behind other windows all the time. Last edited by Teksonik on Sun Feb 08, 2009 2:19 am, edited 1 time in total.
Time ViewI tend to use my ears and feel how a track is going rather than stare at a clock.
I ctrl I occasionally just to check song lengths, but other than that, I`m not fussed. I guess being able to toggle the clock so it is always on top would be good. Having a sticky button you can switch on and off or something. Meh, don`t get the drama. It`s a damn clock.
