As the subject states, when I check 'follow play cursor'
on the song playlist visual settings, it does fine for a bit
until I click to a point later into the song. Then Orion will
max out my CPU and I cannot even stop the song from
playing until it plays the entire song. When I uncheck
the 'follow play cursor' setting, everything works fine.
Granted my graphics card is old, but how hard is it to
follow a cursor? I can play many 3D games without a problem.
I have a Pentium 4 2.1 GHz processor with 1GB ram.
Audio card is an M-Audio Audiophile 192.
Video card is (don't laugh) an ASUS V8200 GeForce3 64MB.

Follow play cursor freezes Orion. If the song file isn't too huge just submit it via the bug report page, then I'll check it out.
http://www.synapse-audio.com/bugreport/ It says minidump still but you can submit .sfs too. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Follow play cursor freezes Orion.Done. Although it's not really the song file.
The problem will happen with any song if that option is checked. http://www.wrecklessmusic.net

Follow play cursor freezes Orion.Didn't get your SFS, can't reproduce the problem on my machine with various songs I tried, having the option checked.

Follow play cursor freezes Orion.Haha true. But I'm glad I resisted. I read how poorly it works in the big sequencers and how buggy it is, to the point where it's totally unusuble in practice, that was shocking
Realtime is always better anyways, and if you go 64-bit, you get a huge performance boost for free. The 64-bit VST plugin pack is soon due to release & it'll be amost 1.5 times faster on average, than the 32-bit versions. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Follow play cursor freezes Orion.i suggets to get more ram, i had some performance troubles with 1 GB, especially if i had song events in it
u should get 2 Gb, i think that can help alot and aint that expensive

does the problem would happen even if the only thing you had was something like single tomcat w/ no effects? just the bare minimum to put something on the playlist. i work without problem using 1GB and the onboard video, whatever that is. Follow play cursor freezes Orion.Yes, the problem would even happen with nothing but audio samples.
I figure it's probably a hardware issue. I would buy more RAM if I didn't have to buy RDRAM. It costs over $100 for 1GB on Ebay. I want to build a new computer, but I can only afford so many things at one time. For now I will just use Orion without the follow cursor. http://www.wrecklessmusic.net

Follow play cursor freezes Orion.I'm wondering if the problem would be resolved if I bought a video card with more RAM on it? That's actually cheaper for me to do than buying new RAM for this beast.
