Bad bad bad BUG!i had this problem earlier http://forum.synapse-audio.com/viewtopic.php?id=6762
Bad bad bad BUG!I'd kind of prefer it wasn't force-corrected, actually. It's technically doing nothing wrong - I sometimes exploit this to add attack sounds to samples (like letting a diffuse delay squawk before it snaps back to 'normal').

Bad bad bad BUG!I too do not encounter this issue, but I always render from a fresh open as well.

Bad bad bad BUG!same here, i always leave 4 empty bars and render from fresh opening of song

Bad bad bad BUG!'Panic' is performed before streaming.
I'll see if I can do something. The problem with the VST spec is, there's no command for 'Reset'. We can send MIDI stuff like "all notes off" and such, but it doesn't mean the plugin is going to clear its internal delay buffers, for instance. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Bad bad bad BUG!I'll add my two peneth worth if I may. I let the song play out at the end to silence, then hit stop, then render. Works fine, dont see it as a problem.

Well, some instruments might have delay till "eternity". You can wait an hour till they really stopped. But anyway. I think the render after starting OP works. At least it worked once Can live with that. I do not want to let space at the beginning as it makes it more complicated for me to get the track arranged correctly. there are specific points where a track has logical changes bar 25, 33, 65, 129 etc. Counting +5 is annoying. Ok, I know, I'm a lazy guy ;.) Last edited by DaZoid on Mon Jul 06, 2009 10:58 am, edited 1 time in total.
Bad bad bad BUG!no it can be quite tedious, changing automatons etc. that why you should do in the starting and not halfway thru
Bad bad bad BUG!
You are right, I found that the other days with a render, I could hear a low buzz at the end of the song, could't find where it was coming from, until I discovered it was feedback on a delay. So I reduced the feedback to stop it , but was pleased I found this 'underlying buzz' as it must have been playing through thw whole mix, making things sound muddy before hand
Bad bad bad BUG!The other thing I've been doing since that may help Dazoid and others well is to not have the Master so high when rendering. Most audio editors from free to expensive have Normalise and Limiting and/or VST support Ever since I've gone to 'quiet mode' with OP, the WAV masters have been less problematic with pops and DC offsets and such.
Again, I'd say this is more due to me and my weird VSTs I like to use than OP's problem. It'd be nice if OP can handle anything thrown at it and 'fix it in the mix' automatically. But then it would be just as nice for some of these dev's to improve their VST's as well so they'd work better in OP and others. And sometimes these VST's like a 8bit Crusher Mr. Alias thing can't be helped. Nasty Does As Nasty Is - so to speak. I don't know about the others like Cubase and all, but I think OP gives the truest rendering. I'd hate to see Rich have to taint and colour it possibly to mask the fact of bad VST's and/or exigent output practices. Actually this was what I tested once, but I recall there was some incompabilities? Or I cannot remember what was the problem... atleast for song seeking there was code to try to reset the plugins to cut the tails. Technically Panic should be the best thing (reset the samplerate, etc) to force buffer flush in plguins, but not sure if even that works properly on all VSTs.
Bad bad bad BUG!My big concern if you went at that Jouni is timing issues again with Real Guitar and the like. And too, a lot of the plug in effects and synths I use really jam or override the buffers for that glitchy sound. I'm sure others here, and maybe Dazoid as well is using the same or the like?
If you can implement it without consequence, that'd great. But if it destoys particular songs to take out a wee blip at the begining, screw it I say.
