Mixer Volume Automation in Pattern Mode Bug

Orion is crashing after I try to re-edit the automations of the volume mixer in pattern mode whether engine is running or not. Can anyone else confirm? Right click mixer volume--> select edit pattern mode events-->draw--> then repeat same select edit pattern mode.

Mixer controls use song based automations.
The only way to use pattern based automation with mixer controls is to use the midi-out generator and attach the mixer controls to a knob on the midi-out generator. You can then do pattern level automations in the midi-out generator and drop them into the playlist.

It seems that I may be mistaken about this. I see that you can select pattern based on the mixer which I did not expect to find. I'm not even sure how that would work but, I have always used song based automation with mixer controls. I'm fairly certain that my workaround will work, but apparently there shouldn't have to be one. For the record, I just selected pattern based from the mixer and opened the lfo tool with no problems. How long is the pattern that you are trying to automate?

That's crazy!,

I have no idea how I hadn't noticed the mixer parameters at the bottom of an instrument's automation list. I just did a quick test with no crash, but it was a single instrument test, and not a full track. I will look further into it. Thanks for forcing me to take a closer look at this. I'm excited about the prospects...if it's stable.

Just tried it on this end with a fresh track and it still crashed. You might have to try selecting the edit pattern events option twice after first drawing the automation. So first draw automation. Then close window, go to mixer and selecti pattern automate, if nothing close window and repeat steps a few times. Maybe its just my system

Still can't get it to crash. Could it be because of the plugin? Can you try with some other?

Here's another video where it crashes a new project with t2 and t3 a few times. Towards the end It took awhile for it to crash again where I was trying to figure out the cause. I noticed it crashing more times when I fully closed the piano then forced the mixer to open it back up via edit pattern events..

@beta team. Remember, your version is several points up from retail version, so you may not get same results when trying to reproduce.

He hasnt said what version he is using, or any other spec/details, so its not a great report. If he was a tester i would expect better details...

He hasnt said what version he is using, or any other spec/details, so its not a great report. If he was a tester i would expect better details...

Sorry bout that, using 8.504 with win 7 64 bit edition using the 32 bit orion.
