arp vel ---> modulate wavetable index

Postby gentleclockdivider » Sat Dec 10, 2016 11:58 pm

I encountered a bug

step 1 ..osc 1 = wavetable
step 2 mod matrix arp vel --> wavetable index ( set to 100 percent ) , set some values in arp
step" 3 arp mode :none ( no pitch )
step 4 choose hertz as s speed ( go to 100 hz )
step 5 play a note while arp is on
step 6 turn of arp If it doesn't work from the first time , repeat turning on and off

result ...a verry nasty sound when arp is turned off ....
It seems that there is some kind of modulation still going on , manually changing the wavetable does not change it accurately .
The bug also occurs when modulating an fm amount , do as described above , then turn of arp and manually move the fm amount parameter .

Bug only happens when arp is set to mode 'NONE '

There is no Arp Mode "NONE". I assume you mean "Silent". There is no Mod Destination "Wavetable Index". I assume you mean "WT Position".

I can reproduce this issue.

I can reproduce it too, probably this will be a simple fix.

Note that the Arp-Silent mode is somewhat obsolete due to MSEGs, it is a feature we took from D1 in the early stages during D2's development. I'm not saying the bug won't be fixed, just that I don't see much that could be done with this mode that couldn't be done more precisely and with more options using MSEGs.

Well , it's a bit of work to create stairsteps in the mseg as opposed to dialing values in the arp ..
