Legend 1.4.3 zip File Error

Postby JoachimP. » Fri Sep 09, 2022 4:01 pm

When extracting the zip file, the following error message appeared, as shown in the picture. It was unpacked with SpeedCommander V.20 Pro 64Bit under WIN11 64Bit.
I then tried it with Windows Explorer and there were no problems.

I just downloaded the zip file again and it unzips fine with Window's built in utility. With 7-Zip it unzips fine but gives the following message:

Not sure what "some data after the end" means as I normally only use 7-Zip to open .rar archives. I don't see much point in using anything but the Windows built in utility to open common zip files.

WinRAR, 7-Zip and Windows 10's Explorer (built-in) extracted with no errors or warnings.

I wonder why 7-Zip would give two different results? Could be because I'm using an old version from 2019.

We zip with older tools to maximize compatibility, but there may still be tools that do not fully support all zip variants.

Generally speaking, unzipping via OS should always work.
