Dune 3, sudden activation error

've been using Dune 3 since it was released without issue. Today, am getting the error message pictured (this is in Logic Pro).

I haver not changed anything (OS updates, logic, etc) in over a week, and worked 2 days ago without any problems, So this is a sudden change...

Any ideas? Am trying to work, and this is frustrating....

re-installed, and am back in business. but wondering why this happened.......

Are you sure that there have been no changes to the hardware or OS whatsoever (e.g. not even an automatic background update)?

nothing changed from the 2 days prior when i was able to work. but again, i am back in business. thanks richard...

fwiw, i've been using dune regularly since dune 1... and not experienced an issue like this. so am going to chalk it up to a glitch... as it continues to run fine since re-installing.

it's one of my fave synths.

fyi, dune3 does not like the mac os sequoia betas. i just updated to the current beta (28august24), and am getting the same error message... and will have to reinstall dune3.

this did not happen on the earlier betas, only this one and the previous one. so... just reporting it (and yes, i know about running betas...)

Thank you for that info, that really helped! We downloaded the Sequoia beta and we can reproduce the problem here. We'll let you know once we know the exact reason. It is likely related to access rights/permissions in some way, could be temporary limitations imposed on the beta or permanent changes to macOS going forward.

good to know you're on it (as i just updated the OS, and am now reinstalling dune 3). the synth is worth the effort!
