Dune 3 patches won't load in Komplete Kontrol 3

I am on Intel iMac Pro - Sonoma 14.7.1. - KK3 (latest V) - LP11.1.

Dune 3 (latest version I Presume - bought 3 days ago) shows up in Komplete Kontrol in stand alone (I booted in stand alone and scanned all plugins), and in KK within Logic.

The factory presets show up - and play when clicked in preset search within KK3

But KK3 says 'Dune 3 cannot be loaded'.

I checked the 'Load NKS' on installation
Also installed all plugin formats to system drive - default locations.

Dune 3 working fine within logic as a soft synth.

Any ideas?

Hi. Do you use Intel or Apple Silicon CPU? Are you running LP in native mode or in the Rosetta?
Be sure please that the VST 3 version of DUNE 3 has been also installed.

Thanks for the reply, yes, intel - 2017 Imac pro, as stated in my post, running logic 11.1 in native mode, Sonoma 14.7.1. Dune 3 VST3 installed in standard plugin location in library (see screenshot attached).
I did also install the NKS file option for Dune 3.

Ok, what VST paths do you have set up in KK's settings? It's Edit->Preferences and Plug-Ins tab. Can you find DUNE 3 on the plugins list?

Dune 3 shows up in Komplete K. in stand alone, and in KK in plugin mode within logic - I can audition the presets for Dune 3 within the KK in both modes as well.

Also!!....Dune 3 now loads up within KK as a Logic plugin, as well as in KK stand alone mode..... so that's progress (weird because I haven't changed anything since my 1st post - been cutting a video in FCP!)

BUT!!!

both in KK stand alone mode - and in KK within Logic - in both scenarios - regardless of which Dune 3 patch I select in the KK preset browser for Dune 3 - it will only load the preset named "Adrenaline'.

However - within Logic - Once dune 3 opens in KK, I can now select presets from Dune 3's own integral preset browser - which - although not perfect - works for me - because I rarely use presets anyway - once I learn the synth I will make my own patches.

Weird that it now 'semi - works!!' I haven't changed anything since posting!!

Ok, in this case for Intel CPU there might be some mish-mash when KK found VST 2 and VST 3. Try to remove the bundle:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/DUNE3.vst3
and clear the Trash. Then try to operate with VST 2.
After the removal, please refresh plugins list and NKS lirbary in KK.

Ok - that's a good suggestion - however - for some reason my VST 2 folder in: Mac HD - Library - Audio - plugins - VST2 - Folder - Is completely empty!!

I have no idea why! I selected the VST2 install as well - I always do, But given that I mostly deal with UA format, I never noticed!!

S0 - I think if I try that - it might just make matters worse!!

It's weird that my system VST2 folder is empty!! I don't know?!!

DUNE 3 and most of other VST 2 plugins install to the folder:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
so be sure you check "VST" folder, not "VST2".

Ok, this is what I have installed in those folders - see attached snapshots.

Yes, that looks correct.
You may remove the "VST2" empty folder. It is useless.

As the above said, please remove the following file:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/DUNE3.vst3
Then clear the trash and refresh NKS libraries and plugins in KK.

Maybe I should try dragging the VST 3 Dune plug to trash, reboot, rescan KK in stand alone - and rescan KK AU from within logic... ?
