Dune 3 - Undo shortcut not working

Hi,

I downloaded Dune 3 demo (Windows).

I opened Ableton Live (12.2, Intro), added a midi track and loaded an instance of Dune (VST 3). In the Dune UI I tweaked a few parameters (eg, the amp envelope) and then hit Ctrl+z to undo my last change. Instead, Dune was removed from my track.

Could it be that parameter changes are not registered with Live? I don't have this problem with any other VST 3 plugin.

Hi, Ctrl+Z is the Live's keyboard shortcut that undoes the last Live action (in this case, inserting the DUNE 3 plugin into a track). To undo a change to DUNE 3 parameters, use the PATCH pop-up menu in the main DUNE 3 monitor and select "Undo" (this is the second-to-last item in the pop-up menu).

Thank you for your response and the instructions on how to use "undo" from within the instrument's interface.

I can't help but wonder why other instruments behave differently. For instance, Vital and Hive both support "undo" for patch parameters using the Ctrl+Z shortcut. It makes for a more comfortable (and predictable, I think) workflow.

Would that be something that you would consider supporting as well?

I like it when a synth has a redo/undo arrow thing on the gui, but a standard kybd shortcut built in would work. (Assuming the DAW supports that and the plugin and DAW get along)

@gkakosouris - one more thing, about Live's undo for the last parameter change. Indeed the DEMO version has automation disabled, so the change is not registered in Live. That's why Ctrl+Z does not undo the last parameter change, but removes the track instead. In the full version of DUNE 3 the automation works, so undo for the last parameter change in Live should work.
