Hello,
While reading through the Antidote RE manual, I’m trying to better understand how the SUB oscillators function.
On page 7, the manual mentions that the sub oscillators use sawtooth and pulse waveforms, each playing one octave below oscillator banks 1 and 2.
However, on page 10 the description seems different. It states that SUB 1 produces a square wave one octave below oscillator bank 1, while SUB 2 generates a sawtooth wave one octave below oscillator bank 2.
This left me a bit confused about which description is correct. Could someone clarify the actual waveform configuration of the SUB oscillators? It might also be helpful if the documentation could be updated so the information is consistent.
Despite its age, Antidote is still a very powerful device. Besides being an excellent synthesizer, it also works well as an effects chain inside Reason and Reason Rack. Hopefully it will continue to be supported for a long time, and maybe even receive a VST version in the future.
Thanks!

Re: Question About Antidote SUB Oscillator WaveformsI don't have Antidote, or Reason to use it with, but reading from your post, both descriptions sound correct to me, just written in different ways.
Pg. 7 says that SUB oscillators use saw and pulse waveforms (should probably mention "respectively"), and that each are playing an octave below oscillators 1 and 2 (again, respectively). The pg.10 description extends on that. It explains that the way SUB oscillators use saw and pulse waveforms is that SUB1 uses saw and SUB2 uses pulse, and both play one octave lower. So, the configuration is rather simple: SUB1 plays OSC1 -1oct and uses sawtooth waveform SUB2 plays OSC2 -1oct and uses pulse waveform At least, that's how it seems to me. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
