Toxic2.5 VST doesn't work after installation

Hi, Toxic 2.5 VST is one of my favorite Synths even if I also own FM8 and Sytrus e.g.
Besides the good GUI I really enjoy the possibility to store sequence pattern in
separate files and to use them within every possible sound preset.

But since I switched to Windows 7 Toxic2.5 VSTi doesn't work anymore !
After the new installation I get the Message (in FL Studio):
"No registry entry found. Try to reinstall."

Please, can anyone help me to fix this problem ?

I now that I have to start Orion itself as "admin" to get it work under Windows 7.
Could there also be a similar procedure to Toxic2.5 as a VST plugin ?!

Yes that is typical for Vista and Windows 7, the access rights can cause issues and confusion. While the installers always get full access to your system (hence, you must confirm), there's no guarantee the plugin later will.

Are you running FLS with admin rights?

Hi, no normaly I don't run any DAW with admin rights.
I found that I can click on all Error-Message-Windows after loading
Toxic2.5 and then the current preset is working. After changing the preset
(loading another one) I have to click on some Error-Messages again, but
in general Toxic is working. Even if its not a comfortable situation.

The strange thing is that Toxic2.5 is the only one of all my VSTs with this problem.

Of course, the native Orion-Version is working fine, but as I bought the VST-Version
separately I am still a little disappointed to have this problem induced by Win7.

I definitely recommend to run DAWs with admin rights under Vista or Windows 7. There's nothing to be afraid of or protect against when using them

Having said that, I have FLStudio here and will see if I can reproduce the issue.

Edit: Updated the Toxic (demo+full versions), try now. I also tested under FLS and it worked fine.

By using the newly updated version of Toxic 2.5 (VSTi) it works perfectly as usual even if I do not run my DAW as admin.
Thank you very much - now I can lose myself again in this perfect sounding VSTi !

This Windows hooey drives me nuts now. Half the program's in the documents now and the user's not the user until they are the administrator to allow the user be the user. :rolleyes:
