Used to be the same in previous versions. you can drag patterns in song mode on top of others.
Same with the notes in the piano roll, you can create overlapping items that occupy the same space.
Always thought there could be a 'delete doubles' option in there somewhere.

Re: More than one note/pattern can still occupy the same spaThis is same as in all previous versions, also standard in all music software packages I know.
I don't see how it could work differently, when you consider it must be possible to drag/drop blocks of notes etc. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Re: More than one note/pattern can still occupy the same spaLike I said, not a bug.
Consider it a feature that allows you to have velocity value of 256 on a single note, instead of just 128 by doubling it Or to be able to cut playing pattern prematurely by placing an empty one over it, instead of having to make a new pattern with that part cut out SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Re: More than one note/pattern can still occupy the same spaYeah, I kinda see what you mean about not a bug, I used it for such things before & that makes sense too, it has to work like that *doh*
The upmost pattern does cut out the pattern below, does affect the sound ever so slightly though, & also when viewing in piano roll between two patterns you get a flash of the pattern underneath. So I guess to be more careful, used to annoy me when I found I had two things on top of each other when copying/pasting/playing keys and quantising & had to manually locate each one (obviously easier when more noticeable - yeah yeah before anyone says it, if it isn't noticeable then why bother lololol ), always wished for a delete doubles option or something like other programs have. also noticed from before (instead of making a new thread) that you haven't been able to change the length of a note in the drum rack's piano roll ever, (but yeah I know the control in the drum rack isn't a release knob, it's a sample length knob) so say I wanted a shorter kick, I'd have to work around having 2 samples loaded and one with a shorter length in the samples controls I mean it's no biggie, I usually find a workaround for these things.
Re: More than one note/pattern can still occupy the same spaanother one
Window menu doesn't seem to do anything again no big problem, nothing I *need* to use reporting things as and when I come across them while fumbling about.
Re: More than one note/pattern can still occupy the same spaClose/minimise works, but not the reverse, i.e., calling up individual things from that menu. That's known and being worked on AFAIU.
Re: More than one note/pattern can still occupy the same spa
Fair enough, I have no idea, I'm doing a Roy Walker & saying what I see Quite happy testing things in every way imaginable too, know the program inside out now, so odd seeing a few changes!
