Hi,
it seems that O 8.5 32bit is no more supporting extended memory flag in Win7 64bit.
I tried to open a basic project which used 1.7GB in O 8.02 32bit in Win7 64bit and it crashed and froze with some messages like "out of memory" or "VST could not be loaded" and so on.
In O 8.02 32bit it can be loaded without problem.
Can this be fixed please !
Thanks !

Re: Orion 8.5 32bit extended memoryinfeasible: 32bit plugs dont load in orion64
Re: Orion 8.5 32bit extended memory
Hi suneel, I think Krimina knows very well that this is not possibe. I assume that this issue is not great job for Richard to reimplement the large file ware adress to Orion 8.5 32bit. Beside this, you can load 32bit Vst(i)s in Orion 8.5 64bit when using jBridge. It works for all plugins I have, whithout a reduced impact to the performance and every plugin can even load more than 2GB. But this is for shure not a solution for Orion 8.5 32bit for loading native 32bit plugins, but it is also possible to load 32bit plugins in 32bit hosts with jBridge. In this case every plugin can use up to 2GB RAM and the host RAM usage remains nearly empty. Maybe Richard would like to offer embedded jBridge, but for this he had to pay a little license fee.

no shit sherlock use 64bit vst's Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: Orion 8.5 32bit extended memoryDave, it's really pointless to give such suggestions when there are still a lot of VSTs that don't have their x64 counterparts. For me, using Orion64 is still out of the question, for the sole reason.

Re: Orion 8.5 32bit extended memorythen i guess you need to hassle the devs to pull their fingers out and move fwd like everyone else.

Re: Orion 8.5 32bit extended memoryI'm quite happy with the my setup as it is
Plus, that's something that won't happen for quite a few of the plugins I have. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Re: Orion 8.5 32bit extended memoryi seriously doubt it , he seems to be quite misinformed on several issues as can be observed the problem with jbridge is it breaks the workflow. you have dozens of windows open for each synth and they are not glued with orion. You no longer can click on the mixer strip or song playlist to bring up with synth. half the time is wasted searching for the generator among the windows. Its technologically an elegant idea, but gets in the way of orion fast workflow. Yeah so a synapse bitbridge would be great for seamless integration.
Re: Orion 8.5 32bit extended memory64bit versions dont exist for quite a few 32bit vst's Mr Simpson
