HI,
I recently bought komplete 8 .
I am currently only using Orion 7.62
All the 32 bit versions of the NI plugins crash PlugChecker.exe
I'm just wondering if anyone has had success with Orion 8 and the latest NI plugins, so I can have confidence in upgrading. Otherwise, I suppose I will consider some other DAW software.
thanks.

Re: native instruments komplete 8Thanks Kriminal, sorry to bug you and thanks for helping other people out with NI plugins.
I did a search but no one seemed to be reporting a PlugChecker.exe crash. All of the NI plugins cause a crash (one by one). Since some people have got kontakt5 going perhaps it is my old version 7.62 or perhaps something peculiar about my setup. I'm pretty sure that Orion is not attempting to load the 64 bit plugins. I tried an edit of vstcfg.txt, no luck, I will scan those threads again and see whether I have everything right.
Re: native instruments komplete 8have you installed 32 bit in diff folders to 64bit?

Re: native instruments komplete 8Good point, Dave, that's another thing to watch out.
Many instruments install both 32 and 64-bit versions with the same file names (like EWQL Orchestra does), in which case, if you install them into same folder, the 64-bit version overwrites the 32-bit file. SoundCloud ::: Facebook

Re: native instruments komplete 8thanks for your replies,
I can only assume 7.62 32bit Orion was somehow scanning the 64 bit plugins, but I have no idea how, they are definitely in a different folder. I just installed 7.62 64bit and it seems to work OK. I should just go over to 64 bit, as I probably won't miss toxic3.
