Heya,

I used an old RGC synth, PSYNII DXi, and think it is the cat's proverbial

Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXiNice one. Noise and squelch.
Old Dix synths will become very sought after. I remember getting my hands on his original square and triangle synths with the funny wooden looking knobs! Woo Peace ---=u f o=--- /Radiation Mutant / Snee-Nee-Iq
Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXiThis really works. I personally like the dark/hard edge to the track. More of this please!
Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXiStoked yous liked it!
Here is screen of the synth-> I'll write another tune with the same template, will let you know when it's ready for a listen Doc Some of my other tracks have a similar alien nuclear-winter style vibe- if ya wanna check SoundCloud. I'm nix808 Maybe Who's Tribe, JustBreathe and Hallucinogen would be to a taste after this fashion
Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXiWhere did you get that synth? It came with the host that was similar to Orion....Project 5 or something?

Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXiYeah-it came with Cakewalk Project5
I Joined Sonar Platinum 2015 just for this piece of kit. It still comes with it. It's one badass synth ie. the balance of complexity versus capability seems right It's still a little hard to follow the way the modulations are multiplied and added, but they seem to have done it right
Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXi
You never know what direction "Who's Tribe" is going to take you. So many interesting twists and turns in that piece. The dark synths towards the beginning are my favorite. I never get tired of the PW laced sound. I was met with unexpected delight with the touch of ambience in "Just Breath." Not as dark as your other tracks either, which I thought was a good thing. Shows your range. I know this didn't share the tribe name, but it really did have a tribal quality to it in some parts. "Hallucigen" was the only one that didn't work for me. It wasn't the acid line you wrote, the beat, the tempo or the good drive. It was the 303 sounds. They lacked a little professional quality in their construction. The deepest bassline sound you have could definitely benefit from a high pass filter for the low end, or, if you already have one there, moving the cutoff up in frequency a bit. Refine those sounds a little bit and this would be a pretty deep track. Following you Soundcloud now as well.
Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXiAwesome review mate,
I don't think I've ever got a detailed one like that before. Will go over what you have said again. With Hallucinogen, as with pretty much all of them, the sequencing project is lost- but I'll see if I can eq it better in another master. I really dig 303, so I'll check that line's character and see where I went awry. Ur comments are a little pick up for me for sure.
Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXi
That's good to hear. Making this stuff in a vacuum can be fun, but the fuel you can get from other creative people who are going through the same things as you is irreplaceable.
Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXiI'm not sure about 303 in Hallucinogen,
it wasn't meant to be a classic acid line it seems, coz I'm not sure I recognize it that good. I had a listen to the track you have up, and I'd say it's dynamic(if that even means anything)- and modern with clean production. Certainly befits Killer Instinct 2020ish With the softening of Just Breathe, it was a nice kinda track with vox and flute at one stage. I've got to try the trance gate on her vox again sometime.
Re: PSYNage-- PSYNII DXi
Comments like this can go to my head very very quickly All joking aside, this is exactly what I am trying to capture not just with the music but with the entire fighting game I am developing, Future Fighter. It's sci-fi so I am glad it gave you a bump into the future, and I am glad to hear my production quality is up there. I'd like to compete with the big boys in fighting with this game, so I have to be on mine.
Well that can be a good thing. It's nice to take a classic instrument and throw it into a new environment every once in a while.
No doubt. It sounded cool.
