--> The House of the Rising Sun (demo)
I'm not absolutely sure about the melody, I copied it from my memory.
Of course everybody remembers the most popular version of this melody...
So I had to try it too.
Produced completely in Orion 7.62. Demo stuff.

Traditional tune arrangement by Boreal ExperimentalI remember the original well! The melody is slightly different, but this is your arrangement, so it should be different.
I always enjoy your music, this one sounds like it should be the theme for a spaghetti western (because of the whistle), but it is still a great piece of music. Vaz,PolyAna,Knagalis,Sytrus,Wusik4,Golden Asset,

Traditional tune arrangement by Boreal ExperimentalYes it really makes me think of a spaghetti western too ! And it's not pejorative to say that ! This is not my favourite track but i have to admit your works are always well produced .
Traditional tune arrangement by Boreal Experimentalsounds a bit to quantized to me, for a track like that.
But it sounds good. I would have made more accent and variation, shuffle on the battery for instance. The bass could have lower frequenies ? My sub dosen't move... the spaguetti lead could also be a bit more modulated. After all its note the music I use to listen... Its just my advice of house & hardcore amateur maker cheers Orion 8, Live 8Le, Cubase 4 LE, Cantana, APC40, UC16, Fostex PM1MKII, Q9550, 4G0, 1,5T, 22"+15"

Traditional tune arrangement by Boreal ExperimentalI really liked this version. That Ennio Morricone whistle in the start is magical. I think your version is great
Traditional tune arrangement by Boreal ExperimentalThanks for your feedback guys! It's funny, originally I didn't mean it to be in a Sergio Leone's western style, but it just turned to that way (guitar, whistle..) Ennio Morricone has always been one of my all time favorite film composers :schock2: :cowboy: :music:.
I updated the file a little, changed the drum set, guitar is a little bit less hars. Is this better? This mixing thing causes me gray hairs. Anyone interested there of making a basic straight from the box demo mix of this? I mean EQin, balancing, panning etc. not remixin necessarily (though it could be possible too), What I'm after for is a pure sfs mix without external mastering, so it could serve as a good demo song in this style (simple basic band: drums, bass, guitar, whistle solo, organ). I could share the sfs source, only rule is: be sure to share your mix in orion-reloaded.com What you say?
Traditional tune arrangement by Boreal ExperimentalGood idea this could be very useful for me ! hey guys ! show us your mastering secrets !
Traditional tune arrangement by Boreal ExperimentalThanks for your interest Tubular!
Anyone else interested in this? Or is this too simple challenge... :shame:
